Haven't heard much on Dany lately, does anyone know what he is up too?

Danny was a fantastic fighter a few years back. He really does fight 'like a thai' and used so little effort to get the results... all technique and class.
He is probably the only fighter i have seen to frustrate a thai opponent with his skills.
It's such a shame that he won't keep the weight off. I have seen many of his fights and it is a continual increase in the lard he is carrying.
Still silky skilled, but it doesn't look right at his level.
He should make less than 70kg, but he looks like he is struggling to make 80kg.
His name gets him the big fights, but the opponents are having to give weight because he isn't making it at the scales.
Still, he's the star and he does what he wants.

Here is a picture i took in France. His weight caused a big headache for his promoter on that occasion also.
Because he won't shed the extra, i would love to see him fight Duarte to see how he goes against a top fighter at the weight.
Here is a photo i took in France...

Colin,

I don't think Danny can ever be as good as he once was unless he gets into good shape. Is there any reason why he is so out of shape? Does he lack motivation and discipline? Is he lazy? Also, what happened in his fight with Hassan Kassrioui and Ramon Dekker and when did they take place?

Dany Bille,
Is the toughest foreigner to ever fight in Thailand the thai's
call him the Witch doctor from Cameroon.

He is known for his shuffle he could fight with either right
or his left powerful all around excellent sweeps.

He's beat alot of big name thai's: Deadly kisser,Orono,Somchai,
Sahyikan,Den Muangsurin,Kriengkal,
In 97 he punished Dekker in what I think was a legendary match
battle of the Farang muay thai KINGS.

Unfortunately I haven`t seen the fight Dekker vs. Bill.
But from what I read in magazines Dekker wasn`t in brilliant shape then.
Bill just played with him and dropped him for an eight count.
Out of respect for the champion he didn`t ko him. So it was just a points victory.
Maybe some French dude got it on vdo...

I had the video!!!!!
I let my friend barrow it and he moved away:(

-Martin I totally agree with you I remeber watching the
fight and Dany Bille seriously could of ended the fight.
But Dany backed off Dekker had problem's with Dany's clinching skills
and super kicks. Mann that is got to be the best fight comparable
to big Lumpuinee championship bouts!!!!!!!!!!
I think even in the Homeland it self Thailand that the stadiums
of Thailand will be jam packed to see this fight. That's how
Ultimate these two fighter's were.

I have the video of Dekker -v- Billie (both of them look out of shape) reason being is that Dekker weighed 69.8kgs and Billie 72kgs but he looked bigger. If anyone wants a copy of the video (which i also have 3 different Jomhod -v- Hippo fights) then e-mail (check name) and i'll sort something out.

I was there when Danny Bill fought Dekker. Dekker was not in good shape - he had a heavily strapped up leg and looked in pain with it. I think he had not long since fought. Danny Bill weighed in heavy and did not look in good shape, and was bigger than Dekker.
It was a great fight - but Dekker never really opened up, just stayed defensive and Bill showed some great skills but never realy went for it either. The fight was on the Welterweight tournament in Nice that Sami Khebchi promoted, but not as part of the tournament.
I also fought on the same show as Bill a couple of times. Once in Paris when he fought Eval Denton. We never saw him weigh in (he didnt turn up to the official weigh in) and he looked a lot bigger than Eval on the day of the fight. He stopped Eval with low kicks. This was a rematch - Eval had beaten Bill a few years previously in the UK when Danny was much younger.
The second time was in Prague against Peter Kley. Danny weighed in heavy and was sent to skip some weight off. He came back half an hour later and had lost 0.1kg! The promoter just let the fight go ahead with Bill with about 3kg advantage. Having said that he put on a Thai Boxing masterclass and wpon on points.

So it looks like it was even for Bille and Dekker.
Both of them were fat and out of shape.
