Lincoln F/C Show May 08

Big Dave is putting his next show on in early May and is looking at possible matches.

Today it has been agreed that I will fight for the ISKA World title at 65kg against the winner of the Marty Cox Jr and John Paul Sommes fight in March.

Steven Swinburn will challenge ISKA 67kg European Champion Simon Akufo for his title on the show.

Anyone wishing to put fighters on the show please drop me an email.

Please get Jade on and ask Big Dave if she can fight for an ISKA Title? She will be 70kg max so will fight between 68kg and 70kg under Amateur Rules. She will fight irrespective of title fight.

I am not too sure until the end of this week coming who I have going out where as far as fighters go, this is a truly hectic start to 2008 for us. However you know you can always count on us if any of the fighters are available.

I did speak to Dave prior to Christmas about possible fights and even titles but I see you and the others are committed already, sure we can get these on at a later date!

Awrite Shawn Scott Allan from Rival Gym hear just to say i think am having a re-match with Hyden my dad and Dave are talking about it. I cant wait. My brother would be more than happy to fight on the show he 17 and fights at 67-71kg and I think he is the best at his weight. Ronnie Clark fights at 60kg and is willing to fight anyone at his weight.

Interesting post Shaun...

Chad stopped Nathan in their first fight with a body kick. In their last fight at Lincoln John Blackledge and team of officials gave it to Chad on a unaminous decision.

I thought the first round of their last fight was close close but Chad won hands down rounds 2 & 3. Chad got caught with an accidental knee to the nose in the 1st which put him out of his rythum...teach him for dropping his hands and head.

Seriously to suggest a a third fight based on either fight being close or contraversial is a joke.

However if you really want Chad to fight Nathan again, it has to be for something. If Big Dave wants to put it on for an ISKA British Title over 5 rounds. As long as the we are working with a reputable sanctioning body and we are so will be happy do it a third time. We may need to check the weight of both fighters for Title clarification nearer the time. Chad is sitting around 52kg currently so I am sure we will be able make it a title fight.(subject to Big Dave approval of course)

Quality fights last night, steves perfoance against michael johnson was pure class, aaron dug deep for the points win, nige..... first round KO, quality! and shawn took the points win with style!

Oops forgot about Big Nige, he seemes to have taken his first few fights light hearted being a bit of a jovial joker, but last nite he was a man on a mission and proved himself a very worthy kickboxer with great punch power....ouch!!!!! Nice one friend! c ;-)

In fact lets take our hats off to them all it was a great night of kickboxing, Shawn Law impressed also! He will be one to watch in the future.

Just to echo CJP, a wicked show, every fight was good, had a great night. Quick Big up to Big Nige, what a win, Shawn (looking like a world champ) and Jhono and steven for an excellent fight, two amazing fighters there, shame there had to be a winner! Thanks Biggy and the Lincoln massive for the hospitality, well done all of you!

great night of kickboxing well done dave, and all the lads, some true class shown... one descision i fealt was wrong but wont discuss it on here as im close to both parties..

shaun absolutely loved it was a warm up fight for his british title fight 30th may ball room blitz (shameless plug) will say we underestimated brett as he came out all guns blazing in the 1st 30 seconds but shaun kept composed and took the remainder of the round.. shaun took a cracking shot off pettinger mid 2nd round but again kept his composure for a lad of almost 17 he's definatley got what it takes and deservably is IKF no 1 amatuer...

dave will defintely try our best to be at any of your shows, was a pleasure

Thanks to big dave and the guys for having us up, good show. Our lad Neil lost a close one, but no argument as we took a count in the third so fair result.

Very impressed with Craig Carter from Spartans, looked very good and a very good prospect.

And great fight between Chad and Hayden, class from start to finish. Very close but felt Chad just nicked it over the second half after a great start from Hayden so well done to him.

Nice to catch up with a few faces I haven't seen for a bit.

Hayden vs Chad was a back and forth battle and was very close in my eyes.
Both very strong young lads.

Chad enjoyed this fight as he always does. This time with his great mate and sparring partner Hayden. They have grown up together in and around this sport. Both have improved and developed physically over the last year.

Despite being Great friends they showed Great Friends can still have great fights. In my opinion and I didnt see it but heard alot about it. This is what CH 4 should be showing true class from 2 x Great Juniors Hayden 15 and Chad 14. Chad now holds 4 British titles ISKA, WKA X 2 and BLCC.

He has only been back from Thailand one week and was a little tired but take nothing away from Hayden he put up a great fight and pushed all the way to give Chad a great fight.

Thought the better kicks and volume of kicks came from Chad which for me separated the fighters in a close but convincing unanimous points win for Chad.

Good Show Dave as always and some great fights. Well organised with some good match ups.

Full Contact 54.5kg was the weight limit on the title

Whoo boy! Thats a bit big for our lad but dont worry, we have someone close to that weight who is up and coming just let him grow a bit first ;)

thank you everyone for your kind words, the show went really well, all of our lot had very hard fights, and win or lost all fought well and gave it their all, will post full results when I get a chance, still got a sore head from a few too many beers!

Tristen was a very very tough lad, taken the fight at such short notice and making me fight for the full 10 rounds is a credit to himself and his coach!

once again it was a packed show and I have only had positive feedback from all of my mates that went which is always good!

Was a craking show with som excelent matches,
as colin says craig carter gets better with every performence, a big well done to dean petty and liam trotter form our club, and a big thanks to steve for what was a throughly enjoyable fight whilst i was in there,
as always we were really well looked after by dave and all concerned
