yeah wakling did look phisicaly bigger but pullen went for it like he normaly does and caught wakling with some awsome shots but wakling was on point wit his elbows and landed a couple of sweet stepping in uppercut elbows it was a real war

The fight with Michael and Phil was set at 69kg both weighed in at 68kg day before. It was also Michaels first FTR fight. And yes it was a good tear up and a good fight. With Bernis giving another great performance every one got a treat.

Yep, what Mark said, the match was at 69kg, with both guys coming in at 68kg.

It was a great fight with both guys showing some good skills, but Michael was a step up in class. Michael had an answer for everything and just seems to get better and better. There was no dispute at all with the stoppage, even though Phil would have carried on if his face was missing!!
Mark, Michael and Steven were all gentlemen and great sportsmen.
I really do think that Michael will go to be as good, if not better than his brother. Total class.

I am proud of Phil. For someone who has been doing this sport less than 3 years, he has shown he will jump in with anyone and give a good account of himself. Other fighters were offered this fight, who are supposedly much better fighters, but they didnt want it, yet Phil jumped at the chance.

dint mean owt by it mark, micheal obviously won the fight cos of his skills and not because of the weight or owt!! phil is always the underdog when he fights (experience wise) and always puts on a great display!
cant wait to see Wakeling Jr fight again too havent seen him fight for about 4 years now!
will it be televised!

It was not for you Liam it just started to spread. Just stating a fact both fighters blue liped at the weigh in both 68kg. What Michale has in height phil has in armor plated muscle. For Phil to be ranked no 11 shows how much Thai has moved up in this country. As for Phil always being an under dog, hes leval of Muay Thai is at this stage is that if you are not on top form on the day he could give most people above him in hes weight a serious head ache and like Liam says put on a top display. And stop being paranoid Liam I wouldn't have a go at you in public I would speak to you in person after all you are one of the UKs Muay Thai Lords.

wot an excellent day for thai boxing two class matches on a excellent show. bernise is out of this world pure class i cnt c any1 beating her,

phill pulle michael wakeling was good clash of styles phill was trying to get on inside of michael and turn it in to toe to toe fight but michaal is so good on the counter and hes low kicks are devastating. now he has hes elbows to add to hes armoury i think all 69-70 kg fighters need to look out i can c him him being number 1 in this country soon.

hmmm i can smell a dave paquette michael wakeling full rules fight coming on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was a bit naughty that the promoters kept it from everyone that the Steve Wakeling/Cedric Muller fight was off. There wasnt even an announcment on the night that it wasnt happening, so Joe Public had no idea!!
I understand that they didnt want to lose ticket sales, but surely a bit of integrity counts for something....

Also, thanks to Jay for your help mate.

Also, benfurfitt, Phil does not have a girlfriend, but is open to all offers from women, men, goats and any other wild life!!!

Very good show this year. Nice idea to have the different formats mixed up a bit, not just all the Thai together, then the MMA etc. Defintely made for a better night.

Higlights for me:
The Wakeling/pullen fight. Very good.
Qasim Nisar, classy performance.
The very very tough french girl who bernice Alldis fought. Thought she was gonna get stopped a couple of times, but she hung in there.
Jeff lawson in the last MMA fight, third time I've seen him and great finish
and the most explosive moment was leon Walters in the K1.

Very good event, well done to all involved.

Some really good fights on the card I thought.

All three kickboxing fights for me were really entertaining and represented kickboxing well on the show after it seemingly have being an after thought on previous Pain & Glory cards.

The Thai boxing fight between Michael Wakeling and Phil Pullen was fight of the night from what I seen but heard that the Bernis Aldis fight was a cracker too.

The Leon Walters K1 fight was as exciting as your going to get with both fighters firing non stop from the opening bell until the inevitable happened resulting in a brutal knockout win for Leon. Big credit to Kevin though for stepping in at short notice and leaving it all in the ring.

The MMA fights didn't really catch fire even though on paper looked like cracking matches.

On the whole I thought it was really enjoyable and that is the feedback I had of my people. After last years amazing event it was a hard act to follow but I think it did pretty good.

Well done to Fighters Inc and the matchmaking team.

Unlucky Phil, sorry to hear the result, but from what's been said it was a cracking fight, you'll bounce back stronger mate. Well done to Michael , The U.K scene is just going from strength to strength lately.
