Not a good year 2008 for Shows in New Zealand..

Last couple of years 2006 & 2007 there were heaps of shows up & down the country...must have burnt all the fighters out.

no i am talking about the july 26th show that isaac was putting on.
winter is the worst time to promote shows. its cold , the gyms are quiet.
Also people in nz dont go out as much in the winter. The stay home on the couch.
I think the nz economy plays a roll in the small crowds as well.

We have had to change the show due to egale kickboxing doing a Show on the 30th

All fighters wanting to fight MMA or thai in the cage please contact me ASAP

Also we plan to run a new Division "Extreme fighter", with thaiboxing rules (no Elbows), judo throws and 30 seconds on the ground, after the fight hits the ground if there is no submission in 30 seconds the fight stands back up. Hopefully this will encourage more stand up fighters to give mma a go.

What you think? And yes a got the idea when I took some fighters to fight on 1 of Justin Lawerence shows in brisbane a few years ago.
