Fredric there is a stadium near to Penh on the Udon / Nong Khai main road, i was in Nong Khai for 3 weeks and there were a number of trainers from Udon with fighters at the Stadium, if you ask a Taxi driver when you get there i am sure one will take you to a Gym!!!

Alternatively it may be worth trying an Axpat Forum as there are loads of Westerners living in Udon ;-)
Dont know about Udon Town but theres gonna be loads of small gyms in the villages.

Good luck and if you find one please post details here as loads of Farang want to train in the sticks!

Thanks for your help guys, since i posted i have already been there and did some training at different camps, even had a fight in Nongkhai.
They got a great gym in Nongkhai named Boorplaboonchu, theese guys helped me out during my fight there, also got a couple of fighters fighting at main stadiums in Bangkok.
I am off to Udon in a month and will try another gym located between Udon and Nongkhai, been told its a good gym but dont know the name yet. If good then i will post some information here, maybe even a picture or two.

Frederic where was the gym you trained at in Nong Khai, i went to the one run by the American gentleman who also ran the English School at the gym , the gym, school and temple on the banks of the Mekong (Naam Khumg as the wife calls it)

I cant rememebr the name of the gym or Moo Ban it was in.

I also went to find the gym that used to be next to Grand Hotel but the father in law couldnt find it in the car and didnt want to lose face so he told me it had shut?????????

Any help with other gyms in Nong Khai province as will be going back home with the wife later in the year for a few weeks and want to do a bit of training cos the long days of drinking Leo and ice with the villagers doesnt appeal to me
(dont laugh all you who know me i do train now and then!!!)

Hi Welsh eagle

Not sure what the name of the place is but the gym is located by a lake not far from the temple where they got an outdoor museum with a lot of stone figures.
I guess its in the outskirts of Nongkhai as i remember us coming in from the Udon highway and turning right at the Tesco food store. But i aint been there for six years so things might have changed, will check up on it and get back to you....
