Looking to match numerous fighters from 29kgs up, all proceeds will go towards funding our big show that will be put on later this year, which involves fightrs from our armed forces, also fighters from Thailand and all moneys raised will go to 'The Help Our Heros' fund, please support us. A list of weights will be put up shortly. Thanx

Sorry Liam mark here mate the reason we changed the name was i split with the rest of kirkby thai who are no longer or shouldnt be teaching im good friends with thakoon and spent some time with him over christmas and new year i have very good relations with him and we both decided it would be a good idea i have a new gym new instructors and a lot of new students so for me it was the way forward and didnt want to be associated with all the wrongens who i split with and were still using my name kirkby thai anyway why you stopped your obsene texts

big big thanx to Mark for having us down , top bloke, hospitality second to none in my experience, and a great show , showing the talents of our next generation of thai boxers, a great show, well done. proud of all my team this weekend (again) :). Corey had a great fight, really enjoyed himself with a few spectacular flying tecniques . Ross showed great heart against a very game and dynamic Nicholas Ball ( brilliant wee fighter) pulling out the stops in rounds 4 and 5 , but too little , too late. TJ... will comment on that one later as i wasnt in till late and up early so have to choose my words carefully. proud as **** of him . he was awesome, entrance...ram muay... and performance in the ring... hes a star and well deserving of that british title. once again, Mark and crew......THANKS .

i would just like to thank mark and his team for having us down and giving us superb hospitality (and putting up with my little loony, he had a great time lol)

well done to T.J (top ram muay lol) and connor for what was a great fight, with such high standard from th off. but T.J was not to be denied and came home with the belt.
well done to ross roberson for getting over your nerves, you may have lost but you found something out about yourself which will be better for you in the long run.
and last but not least corey "the flying squirrel" mclachlan, who got matched on the day, pretty much because he was there (thanks Bronson), corey was a excellent again and makes me very proud. his flying techniques were in full flow and very accurate. he continues to improve while usually giving away at least 2kg.

Just like to say much the same as rab + keith, Mark you are a top bloke. Looking after us like royalty. The show was great lots of new up and coming talent well done to everyone who fought. great promise for the young females who fought too(that's what i like to see the girls showing they are every bit as good if not better than the boy's)

Nikki i must totally disagree with you the best fighter of the day was defo TJ from the moment he came out of the changing room. Entrance, ram muay and performance, i watched the fight when we got home and TJ defo won every round clearly. Not taking anything away from Connor he is a good fighter too (well done wee man). Don't know how it was majority. Also i am sure TJ will re-match him anytime, but that's not up to you and i.Leave it to the coaches to decide.

And well done wee corey, great performance taking fight on the day. And Ross you should you can pull it out when you need to, a bit sooner would have been better lol. chin up. Nicholas was very fast ( well done nicholas).

just a final comment on the TJ v Connor fight. Not wanting to sound negative, I hope this will be taken in the spirit it is meant, constructively. Yes , both boys were brilliant but how one judge ( you know who you are) could score the fight a draw is beyond me and in my opinion is something that needs to be addressed. two entirely different styles, fair enough, made it the spectacular fight that it was but it was not even close, as has been hinted at TJ never lost a round and his thai style stalking striking body kicks and counterstriking kept him comfortably in front throughout the fight whereas Connors constant dancing around the ring,appeared at times to be verging on avoidance, trying quick in and out tactics which for the most part were blocked strongly or countered before he could get them in ( TJ for an 11 y/o is a great tactician and is so relaxed at reading his opponants )muay thai should be scored with muay thai scoring criteria . Im not expecting an explanation of the scoring as the end result speaks for it self but if theres something I am missing then i too can take constructie criticism, Every day is aschool day , lol, all being said,Connor is a great little fighter and worthy of a rematch in the future. might be sooner than we think if they both perform as well at birmingham. lol :)

connor is not going to birmingham!!! and not because i dont want him too... because i havent a pot ta piss in, i just cant afford it i have three kids to look after not one.. and as you all know its an expensive hobby!!!
at the end of the day, connor lost the fight and all credit goes to tj!!! not robbing the boy of his lime light.. hes a very talented kid and a nice one at that
and yes they will meet again... and connor will def be a different kid lol he's been out a long time hasnt fought since nov 2008 i didnt want him fighting for a title, he wasn't ready for that!!! but its so hard trying to get him matched.. reason being connor hasnt fought since then is, i was taken to court because of that documentry and i nearly lost all 3 of my kids because of it!!! and theirs alot of you that know that and alot more that dont... i want to say thank you to all the people that helped me and my kids through all that mess... and especially DAVE JACKSON!!! we love ya loads geez ;0) x
connor was not allowed to attend any events or compete and if he trained he had to wear every bit of protective clothing through out training including head guard!! so i thought the best thing was to pull him away from it for while, why the mess was getting sorted out!
it went on for 18 months, and it has ripped my family apart and connor blamed himself thinking it was all his fault!!! that doc didnt do anyone any justice it made connor look cocky!!! and anyone that does know connor, knows he is not like that.. he's the nicest kid you would ever meet and im proud that i have him for a son... x
plus myself and connor aint arsed if he wins or loses!!! its a learning process..(he's a 12 yr old boy not a machine) like krab said he's still learning himself... and when you have a loss under your belt it puts u back in your place and makes you work a little harder
connor only wants to fight the top kids thats out there, no point in a easy fight you dont gain anything from it.. and so what if he loses his next 10 its nothing to be ashamed of.. you have gotta have balls to even step in the ring ha rant over :) x

oh one last thing!!! and as for connor bouncing around the ring!!!! i put that down ta connor warming himself up.... hey mark, ste n mal you know who urs are hahaha and yes i am having a dig... but it was a very busy day and i know you were busy and it wont happen again... much love ;) x x x

Hard Luck Connor, I'm sure you fought your heart out. Joe said you have gotta do 20 more press ups at the next junior sparring session..lol.

Connor is a Top kid, always a pleasure to speak with.

Joe, says keep ya chin up and carry on training. onwards and upwards, and just be thankful at least you got a fight..lol

nikki was really nice meeting u and connor, but i have to add i also have two other kids its not all about TJ. we had to travel to england 2 wks in a row not easy i know. am also on my own. soz to hear about ur probs, always said they made u all bad. sure we will meet again..take care.x
