Great show, great win and Southern Area WKA 66kg title/belt for James(Jim bo)Snelling stopped Keddles Gould 2nd round deep cut from a knee in the 1st. Very impressed, with the very skillful win by Christi Campbell Higher Level(Cornwall)
Can't see how Dan Albeit (Scorpions) lost, very dodgy decision !!! Good win by Stoppage by Adam Oxer (Scorpions) Don't think Bert Poleon,(Chiang Mai Tigers) should have even been in a ring, very, very poor, even if it was only C class, completly out of his depth, he should try some inter clubs 1st

just a point why should you do interclubs first ???? interclub is nothing like a real fight so theres only one way to get the experience thats getting in there.... any full results ?? how did ruth get on ??
reddragon club sec

Interclubs are very important hence you do not get fighters who are totally unprepared for a fight

A lot of talent have come up through interclubs shows

fair enough but i wouldnt say its very important because the best fight experience is in a fight... not a interclub with big gloves on, non proper officials, ref etc.... its just not the same... congrats to paulo.... and to kyle... and well done ruth ;)

Um sorry, just a point too make, ineterclubs are important.
There's no way I would put any fighters in the ring, no matter how experienced or talented.
I have a Polish girl fresh in the country for example. She came to my gym a month ago with 40 fights under her belt.
She will have an ineterclub first. I will inform the promotor, either she will fight under her wieght or I shall fix an opponent with an instructor..
I wouldnt put any one of my students in the ring without seeing how they repsond to fighting, how I see them fight, so as to gain knowledge, how they cope with the pressure, the moment, etc, how they respond during the fight at breaks, do they listen for example, can they perform, if they have it in them....
Just my thoughts...not personal, I dont even know you wainey. :) (I Think?)

But, a big thank you to John for giving us a great opportunity at the Elephant Gym
And well done to Maxim for winning the WMC UKMF 86kg English Championship Title unanimously on points against Erick Lloyd from Keddles Gym.
A little elbow battle in the 4th round had me going for a while....
Erick, if your reading this....you are extreemly strong.

I think all who were there would agree that it was a good show and well run.

nice spelling David(extreeeemly) well done to maxim, Daz...great fight with skeer and charley, absolute war- skeer usually fights at 69, charlie at 65, so awesome display by charlie"beautiful boxer" peters.. also MUCH respect to our lady CARLA SULLIVAN who sustained a broken jaw from head kick in 2nd round, and STILL fininshed the fight giving it all to the end(many saying best fight of the night), we are really proud of her, and also the wicked war between "relentless"john wayne edwards and alan sawyer....headbutt 1st rd to sawyer/ elbows from above 5 rd from edwards pure MUAYTHAI combat. Well done to the SEMTEX fighters and to john, great show

:) (I Think?)

do they spar in the gym ??? interclub is no different to sparring apart from you will probably have someone definately your own weight... ive seen fighters with no interclub experience fight brilliant and seen fighters with alot of interclub experience basically shocking.....each to there own and everyone will have a different view but my view is it makes no difference... its the way your taught a good trainer will know if someone is ready to fight and to be able to fight...

Steve Rowland writes; Don't think Bert Poleon,(Chiang Mai Tigers) should have even been in a ring, very, very poor, even if it was only C class, completly out of his depth, he should try some inter clubs 1st

Not being critical...we all kick pads.....we all love the sport....a little bit of debate is fun and creative....plus the difference gives us all a challenge from each other....peace and chok dee

Also.......Wainey writes: do they spar in the gym ???....got to try that one....lol
