craig is kelly not fighting now mate ?
No mate, cannot put the right training in due to work commitments pal, shame really but still a strong card just prey it doesn't get hammered by pull outs/injuries!
yeah shame bout kelly, but likw you say strong card, should have some photo's of our ring girls soon, i'll put them on mate
Had a couple of pull outs, alternative opponents in the pipeline and exciting ones at that, will update soon.
Due to Ricky having to pull out after sustaining an injury Jamie Bates will now face Shaun Lomas over 5 x 2 min rounds full contact.
Is that Shaun Lomas from Sheffield?
thought he was banned for a year after getting KO`d then next weekend KO`d in the cage? that was only a couple of weeks ago? Farhad has more details i read it on another thread?
yeah it is, banned by who?? Isnt that just the ISKA? This show is sanctioned by ICO (Andy Hennesey and Pete Richardson etc) and as far as I know he is not banned by them, this is the first I have heard of it. If anyone wants to discuss this please e-mail me direct highoctanecombat@live.co.uk, as far as I am concerned he is a reliable fighter, I know he is fighting next week and won a boxing bout last night by tko, as far as I am concerned as long as he is fit to fight it is ok, if he gets ko'd next week then we will have an issue but if he has not been ko'd within the ICO guidelines then being on our show should be fine, as a promoter we can only match the fight and rely on the information given to us by the other camp or promoters. I do try to keep upto date with as many results as possible to do my best in protecting a competitors welfare. I am a great believer in medical suspensions being honered.
I dont know him personaly but from what i have heard he is a top lad, always helps out at the last minute and win or lose puts up some serious effort. It just stuck out in my memory from another thread. I do think sometimes fighters need looking after even if they disagree with your opinion. Im sure this happened (the 2 KO`s) in the last 2 months though.
Just would not like him to get hurt thats all, not trying to throw a spanner in the works especially as he is a replacement to a withdrawn fighter!
Good luck with the show anyway, looking forward to it.
Any fighter suspended by a major organisation on medical/safety grounds should not be fighting full stop. I don't wish to upset anyone, but if what Farhad says is true then there's no way he should be fighting. And he boxed last night??..and fighting again next week?? all whilst suspended by ISKA (and therefore the other associations who support each other on these issues)...and people think this is OK?
i know im fighting him, but am sure he's fighting at the metro radio arena tonight against a 110kg cage fighter lol, heard he'l fight anyone for a couple hundred quid looking forward to it one thing for sure he's guna be tough lol
And thats all ok with all of you is it? Jamie, Craig?
Like you said before Bulldog, it is not ISKA sanctioned it is ICO but whatever floats people's boats I guess?.
Where do IKF stand on the issue above? Having spoken to Paul Henessey and Mick Fowles yes he was hit with a 6 months ban initially for breaching medical suspension (after getting TKO'd on Bernie Giam's show . He breached medical suspension again despite being warned by Mick Fowles and Paul Henessey informed me that he would be hitting Mr Lomas with a 12 month ban.
Dont shoot the messenger I dont make the rules I only follow them!
Having said that looking from the promoters point of view, he is in a "needs must" situation. He needs an opponent for Jamie Bates and so by hook and by crook he has to have someone in there.
Turns out Shaun lomas is available on that date , and lets be honest shaun fights that often its hard to get him available. So in that sense , the promoter has landed on his feet and booked the fight while shaun is available.
Shaun lomas is NOT to be taken lightly. He is often underestimated much to their opponents dismay. Everything Jamie says is true and as such, jamie has his work cut out for him!
Actually I didn't say that Farhad, I think it was Craig - but point taken:)
Where do IKF stand? Given the circumstances we support the ban 100% (and we were aware of the circumstances).
The subject matter is clear cut and for the right reasons. Sean and Craig are nice guys so I would prefer to continue this away from the mud slingers if either want to. My initial small comment above was made out of surprise at some of the comments made regarding this subject. Please email or call if you have any questions.
Good luck with the show anyway!
Full respect to the IKF for supporting ISKA on this matter.
Not every organisation has the same standards and it is refreshing to see that IKF do.
i just fight the person in front of me, the same as any other fighter
Jamie youll definitely have a fight on your hands with Shaun!!! LOL
he's not as bad as the greek i fought by a long shot so ive fought meaner lol, but he is good and im guna be 100% May 1st trust me, its going to be a good fight
oops a bit on the big side
anyway ring girls for show
Lifesize ring girls - nice one Lee :-)

try agen lol
When was shaun last knocked out ?
Early March I believe Dale.
Cheers Craig .. To be fair this is the first the ICO has been made aware of he shaun lomas situation and is being discussed between Andrew Hennessy / Pete Richards and Stef Rowland
OK Mate, I will have a word with Stef and see how he is getting on, Hopefully they are ok with it so long as he has not been KO'd within their guidelines, I never knew about the ban myself until I saw it on this thread. Gonna be a cracker between him and Jamie I reckon.
I know he got KO'd with a head kick on Bernie Giams show annhilation (cant remember what date that was ) and also the week after that he got stopped in the cage in a "cage kickboxing" bout.
Fighting a week afetr being KO'd is what got him banned in the first place.
That was the last time I believe Farhad, Berns show was 20th Feb so week later will be 27th, so late feb/early march is the last time as far as I am aware.

I have spoken to Paul Hennessy and Colin Payne regarding the situation with Shaun Lomas. It is always correct to try to establish all facts before making a decision on a Fighter's livelyhood. With this in mind, contact with the ISKA and IKF was important before reaching a decision.
Information received from both Organisations showed concern for the Fighter, and have indicated incidents that have allegedy broken medical suspension rules.
The ICO feels strongly about such safety issues, and supports the ISKA and IKF in their quest to keep the sport striving forwards. There should never be a compromise on safety, and we endorse, support and fully uphold the decision to deny participation on the event by Mr Lomas.
The Promotor has listened to our advise on this, and has agreed to withdraw this Fighter from the card.
Pete Richardson
ICO Rules Director
thats great 9 weeks of training down the drain nice to find out of here before being contacted first
Jamie,
You have mail, I wish the ICO had waited until we had told you, we only found this out on Friday and have been frantically trying to rematch you before delivering any bad news.
He is arranged to fight Jamie at Newark in October Pete but nice thinking.
