Thought the wee man had officially retired?
61kg Saenchai will handle all over
he likes fighting out of thailand for a nice purse
I though he retired after the Sakkedao fight aswell, but i think the money he'll get for the fight has brough him out retirement and i don't blame him.
How'd you do yesterday Ross?
Good on him. he has the type of showmanship that America will love!
Saenchai and Kaoklai will be arrving at LAX on March 10, 2010. Fans are engouraged to go and meet the fighters. For more information go to http://muaythaiassociationofamerica.com/
For a guy I/we have never heard of to be fighting seanchai sounds ridiculous, your man will be made to look a clown. Why not get your guy some international fights with good fighters first then go for the worlds best? I as I'm sure most thought when seanchai fought rob storey that the fight was a compleate and utter miss match but some people gave rob a chance with his vast amount of experience, those people were wrong he got fucking battered in a one sided leathering that is no good for anybody! I'm sure the same is about to happen to your guy.
yes but we need to see the level of handlement will it be worse than takamura im guessing yes as that guy was a big 72kg lol
Tetsuya Yamato was declared winner by knockout at 2:59 in the 5th round.
with 1 second left against Kansak Sor Plemjit on card of Roxy v McCarthy fight.
yeah but kansak has lived in america for ages and is old and almost retired....serious handlement on the cards on this one
i know mate i just found it funny how u can stop someone with 1 second to go
Actually Yamato is ranked by the WBC and is a WMC champion. He is also one of Japans biggest fighters right now. As for the fight with Kansak Sor Plemjit, Yamato stopped him. Kansak Sor Plemjit couldnt get up from a liver punch, if you cant get up before the count you lose, this happens everywhere not just in America. Well regardless of the negative post, its gonna be great to see Saenchai and Kaoklai fighting in the states.
rob storey is also in wbc rankings but he was still out of his doubt, and just cos hes WMC intercontinental champion dont mean owt, theres about 50 of those belts about all at the same weight, trust me i know :)
excellent thanks for the post nothing was negative, we dont understand much about referees and judging here it is much more advanced in the states, maybe you could post a link to some info? cheers
at the end of the day its great for Seanchai to be travelling all over the world.
there are mismatches all the time on every level of show and he probably knows Seanchai will rag him all over but he's got the opportunity to fight one of the best in the world so why shouldnt he take it.
no-one said he shouldnt take it, all where sayin is hes being thrown in to the deep end to more than likely be humiliated, if i new i was gonna get wiped out in a fight i wouldnt take it...whats the point.
hopefully saenchai wont have been doing too much training so he wont be that fit, so the japanese bloke has a slight chance
we love taking people down and making them look bad and slaging them of,,,, fuck me give the poor bloke a chance he posted some good news on the forum and it was great to look at , till evryone started to give the person stick,,,, hate all this , and is happening all the time , if the person dosent fit in the gang gets taken down , thats why we never have any new people on ax and its allways the same old thing, if this keep going it will die out ,,,,,,,
i know you all going to start kicking of and all that and saying if you dont like it dont read it and its only my opinion and all that shit , fair enough i understand that, but still anoying
fire away
im loving that he took it also, i need to see the footage see if any new tricks are out and also hopefully he will be getting some $$$$$.
paulo is this roid rage did u invest in those bits haha
rofl whos taken him down??????? its good for saenchai, its good for america to have him fight there, and hopefully the japenese guy will put on a good show or get some big cash then its good for him.....paulo you and howson should start a tagteam....ALB...angry little blokes.
how can i get in your gang liam?
start some CHINA take downs darren and your in, childish really - alot of name calling…………
hows thailand you four eyed c*nt?
It's another demo for Sanchai to make a few quid like the rest of Sanchai's fights outside of Thailand. If he wants to stop the fight he will, if he wants to take it five rounds he will.
Well said Paolo
daz, you're already in a gang - FEC (Four-eyed c*nts). anyways, you're too tall for ALB. Si, you're in as you're like 4 feet 2 with creepers on.
sorry JD i think you're wrong, it was no demo against Liam Harrison and I think Liams mistakes lost him the fight, both fighters took it seriously unlike the story fight.... granted shanchai is now gonna make money off 'demos' maybe he should re match shaekado (shit spelling) or Liam........
tbf to saenchai hes had his share of ridiculous hard fights hes whooped everyone so its only right for him to earn so proper coinage, but thanks for those comments :)
It dont matter who he fights or how he fights em ........ he deserves his paydays now whether its against no hopers or world quality fighters . both our lads that fought him tried and failed dont mean either of em didnt try though i was ringside for both fights and it certainly looked like they were trying from where i was sat....one did better than the other but thats the nature of the beast ...
Demo or fight people at his level of the game should be paid 10 times wot they are .
how many people pay bloody good money to watch old hasbeen footballers or Puffs like Beckham do demo games , good look to em they paid there dues let em reap the benefits
True russ. if you think I'm being a twat because he's a new guy your wrongs paulo, it's just why not build a fighter up step by step rather than jumping to the top, he's going from b class fighters at best to fighting the don. I hope with me saying story got leathered people don't think I'm being disrespectful coz I'm not and he did, a leathering like that is good for no body, did he land a hurtful shot in the fight. With hindsight I wonder if the chance came again would he take that fight?
As paul says, I don't think it's disrespectful to say that he wasn't good enough. The bottom line is, if either one of our guys who fought him was REALLY good enough to fight Saenchai of all people, then it'd have been in Lumpinee, not Croydon and Bolton. The same should be said of this guy. I for one however, don't hold it against the wee man earning his due finally.
I'm defo in ALB I nearly kicked my gym landlord of a ladder today. He's sixty, he laughed and told me to get a grip after I asked him to fix the roof, bad choice of words on his behalf! :-0
lol si. you should of done it and jus said it was an accident hahaha
Well what do you guys think about the Magnum Sakai vs Kaoklai fight? Is that a pretty even fight?
Magnum Sakai will do a lot better at that lower weight. Thank god he's not fighting heavier boys like Carnage anymore. That was a savage beating.
In all honesty koaklai isn't that great, he has a big name in the USA coz he did well against some k1 guys. He's cwrtainly no where near the top 5% of stadium fighters where seanchai is the top!
Thats right. Saenchai is the top of the top. So is he in a class of his own or are other fighter just not that good for him? regardless of who he fiths here in the usa, who can actually say he is on Saencahis level?
I think paulinthailand is being brutally honest, in fact I gave Rob a chance to fight and to fight a legend like Saenchai. It is a chance of a life time.
I saw Saenchai fought many top fighters, he made many fighters look like a beginner. However please do respect Rob and Alan Keddles, they worked very hard for that fight but Saenchai was outstanding as usual.
Saenchai is still very young and he must earn a living, I know Vicharnnoi Ponthavee did retired about 35 years old.He was one of the very best and competed with much younger opponents.
There are plenty of people that can offer seanchai problems, most of them Thais, he's not in a class of his own he just lost to sagatdao. It's your choices do what you like, I personal don't like seeing B- fighters fighting A+ guys!
I respect rob for getting In there m.sken and I'm not disrespecting him in saying he had no chance, in hind sight would rob get in there and take the same again? I'd say rob has more chance of giving him a fight than this guy fighting him now, a better fight would be story vs the japanes guy, atleast that would be a decent level international fight.
Thanks Paul, that makes sense to me.All the best
Rgds
Well guys, I am just hoping these fights r good. There is a lot of buzz here in California for the fights. I am just happy to see Saenchai and Kaoklai fighting. We dont get to see many big fighters come out here very often. Also Paulo Da Silva, your old foe Romie Adanza is going to be fighting Andy Howson here in California on April 3rd. I believe there fighting at 118 and maybe you can get a crack at the winner.
Paulinthailand, do you train muay thai or have ever fought before?
I am through with training and fighting now. I had 15 fights and trained for nearly 10 years on and off, I lived in Thailand for four years, going to the best fights frequently, what about yourself?
Yes i am fighting on that show against Rommie 118 is gunna be a bitch to make and im pretty certain im not going to be of full health seen as im fighting a week before this event here on the big MSA show (which the promoters no and are happy with) but i will be giving it my all. As far as the comment about me and Paulo fighting that will never happen for a few reasons, 1 over here i will only fight 55kgs, not lower like i am in LA, and 2 Paulo is a very very good friend of mine, ive trained with him alot and helped him prpare for fights and also help out his instructor John with there shows wrapping hands warming peole up etc, so i would never fight him.
I saw Tetsuya fight when he won the wmc intercontinental title against Kansak and he was loosing the fight, in a big way in my eyes, he is a game fighter and never took a backwards step and is more than up for a fight as are all the japanese fighters, and he isnt a rubbish fighter as he is AJKF champion and AJKF always bring good Thai's over for there guy's to fight and i no he has fought quite a few Thai's already but i do think Sanchai is a league above. Tetsuya is a really nice kid and will defo have a go but Sanchai will just be too clever, but fair play for getting him on the show, good work.
Also good luck to Bryan Dobbler ill be seeing you in a few weeks mate Choke Dee.
i think saenchai just lost again right but against thai with good knee? anyhow he fights in germany i think in 2 weeks he was on fone to parn in gym yest morning
Fighters arrived last night. Cant wait for fight night now
Good luck Andy Howson on your upcoming fights. Im planning on seeing you fight here in Los angeles.
sorry guys this thing aint letting me post pictures. fights 2morow. good show here in america. hopefully its a sign of good things to come
Paul you were bang on mate, Saenchai KOed the guy terribley in the 1st round and he had to get taken to hospital :(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGlQWsEnqg4
hideous KO it was humiliation from the start...2 cartwheels in a row straight on the forehead....nice
Shocker!!! Exactly what I was talking about. Seanchai looked brutal. Maybe get your man a rematch with him.
he meant business...naughty little man
anyone notice how sanchai beats the living sh*t out of any japanese fighter??? LMAO. over and over.
That's a pretty good definition of a 1 sided contest.
Anyone got the result of Sakai vs Kaoklai?
Kaoklai wasted him by souns of , shredde him with elbows then KO in 3rd i think
Yes guys Saenchai did dominate the fight. I am speechless. He is by far the greatest fighter I have ever seen live. Yamato looked a lot bigger then him and like you guys said, Saenchai is on another level. Kaoklai won his fight as well. Knocked down Magnum Sakai 3 times. Magnum showed a lot of heart and kept getting up, Kaoklai was just to much. Overall the show was great. Sold out arena and all the fights were great. Saenchai came out dancing to Ice Ice Baby from Vanilla ice. The fans loved him. They will be back in the future hopefully. Heard about more big names coming down to fight for future shows. Hopefully it builds from this show and the next shows get even better
Paulinthailand, your real sarcastic bro. I like how your such a expert at everything. Keep up the good work. Have you ever ran a show, been a promoter, matchmaker or you just sit behind the desk and criticize everything? Oh yeah I forgot, you fought 15 times before and that makes you the expert.
to be fair tho he was bang on..the poor japenese bloke ended up in hospital
Listen bro, I nailed it the fight was a joke, maybe I am the "expert" if you need help for future match making or even better mismatch making than this one feel free to mail me for my " expert" advice!
Oh dear that was a nasty one, he didn't have a clue where he was did he?
Still more clued in than ref, though. The man was clinically dead. Call the fight.
Pisand. Thats what i was thinking 2 when it happened. That ref was clueless. Who do you think Saenchai should figt or Kaoklai next time guys? I would hope that fights get only better for the MTAA show from here on out. If you guys look at there website, these promoters have been doing this for a long time. The president of the MTAA was the promoter who brought muay thai to California. He used to have his shows at the the Grand Olympic Auditorium. Im sure they need your help Paulinthailand. Please send your resume so i can give it to them for you. You can continue to post negative comments about everything behind your computer and ill just laugh at them cause regardless if the fight was "garbage". Because at the end of the day, you took time out of your wonderful schedule to post on message board about the show. Thanks buddy!
On another note Pauilinthailand, was Liam fighting Anuwat a mismatch since he lost rather easily and why would he get a rematch? Im not bashing on Liam, i am just wondering what your opinion is of that fight.
Did you see his face when he came to, it was like who the f**k is in my bedroom, what are you all doing here.
brutas,
To be fair paulinthailand is not the sort of person to hide behind a keyboard and does have a lot of years experience in the sport as does Liam Harrison. On his day Liam would beat Anuwat and I think also has the skills to beat Saenchai so neither of these matches could be construed as a mismatch.
Liam was not on his full game in the lst Anuwat fight and as such has the opportunity to avenge that loss at the end of this month.
You cannot argue that the Saenchai vs Yamato was a fair match, the guys that you are corresponding with over here have a lot of knowledge and experience in this sport and even a relative novice could see that the saenchai v Yamato fight was a mismatch.
I do agree that if fightes like saenchai can earn a good living fighting in the US then they should be given all opportunity to do so.....but not at the risk of somebody elses health.
FB'Slim
id earned my right to fight Anuwat by beating numerous other top ranked Stadium fighters iv fought at least 15 top ranked thais now, and pushing Saenchai in quite a close fight, then i just had an off night which will be put straight in 2 weeks, so get out of that one you div...who had your fighter beaten
Brutus your fighting a loseing battle here mate, would have been much better to say " right I put my hands up our guy was well out of his depth and went in as a whipping boy" I have taught muay thai in California myself and may have the chance to work at coutures gym later in the year. Questioning my understanding or credetials when I called the fight perfect is ridiculous. Anuwat and liam wasn't anything like this fight, I re watched the fight recently and liam did NOT look himself but also although loseing he was giving a reasonably close fight and not getting leathered. Time for this one to go to bed I think!
I think it's fair to say that this was a mismatch before the fight and it's fair to say it after - you shouldn't shoot the messenger.
As I said before - anyone that is really considered a match for Saenchai would be fighting him in Thailand. Nowhere else.
dont agrre with that either
I must have watching a Diff fight , as he certainly didnt win easy against liam
I'm not meaning to be insulting or trying to wind folks up by sayin that - but I think too many folk on this forum blow smoke up each others asses and I don't intend to be one of them.
All I'm saying is there's a reason none of these fights happened in thailand.
Thing is though mate in Thai I don't think seanchai has ever fought a non Thai, liam has fought at that kind of level over there and here. If he was a Thai living in Thai with equal wins over people he has fought and beat he woulld probably get that fight shot at the stadiums
Fair enough, that's probably a valid point. However, with regards to their actual fight - I had probably the best seat in the house and I videod the thing. If I were to sit and judge it then yeah it seems pretty close. But honestly it just didn't seem like Saenchai was trying very hard - he seemed more occupied with showboating lol. If I were to give my honest opinion of the fight I would've said Saenchai could've taken it up more than a couple of notches if he'd wanted to.
And please don't get annoyed at me saying that - it's just my opinion.
Take your licks Brutus. You got called a div by the best UK Muay Thai fighter. Proper doylem you.
Has Liam ever considered making Thailand his permanent base?
speaking as a boxing fan who has gotten into watching MT over the last few years i cant believe ppl on this thread slagged liam and paul off....missmatches are a disgrace and highly dangerous and please dont call them "exhibitions" its not fucking snooker. Isnt that the point in rankings and like in boxing british commenwealth european intercontinental titles and then world level fights is the way to go .It doesnt stop it been dangerous but in general it stops one sided slaughters like this one.If 2 world class boxers fought and it was one sided its sometimes the nature of the sport but 2 ppl on here warned it wud defo be a slaughter before this fight took place not cos they were slagging anyone off but because they care about the sport. When will these sort of fights stop when theres a death in the ring its usually too late before someone acts. Sorry for having an opinion im not a promoter or anything so dont know if im allowed one.
^^^^^^
Well said that man!!!
^^^^^^
Well said that man!!!
lmao at paul. brutus should just eat his humble pie and shut the fuk up
fat and bald is exactly right these fights are ridiculouse imagine if god forbid yamato was seriously injured or brain damged etc how bad would it make mt look watchng a lamb to the slaughter get mullered and humiliated
in the boxing tragedies like benn mclelan or eubank watson atleats boxing couldnt be criticised about dangerous unproffesional match making as it happened to two world class boxers.
i ould hear how hard saenchai was breathing Nipplephlim i was in there with him, he would have had a hard time stepping it up more, he picked up the points nwhen he had to and he was limping about after the fight, and said it was one of tougest fights he,d had and was surprised how good i was...be nice thing to tell people when i retire that best stand up fighter in world said that.
Nipplephlem! Haha funny, I had to check that wasn't his user name
First of all i dont know about anyone else and certainly wont speak for anyone else but i for one dont blow smoke up anyones ass on here or anywhere else for that matter unless its the porn star im routing at that time lol, BUT i also couldnt have been much nearer the ring at the fairfield without being the ref or a judge and yes Saenchai was finding it hard at times and breathing heavy .... ive also seen him fight maybe a dozen times live, mainly in thailand but 3 times abroad, and it certainly didnt look to me like he had it all his own way .
Ive also had my run ins with the Leeds boys which im sure they will vouch for and anyone who saw Mike and Rich fight in Brum will have seen and heard live lol....but life is way to short and none of this will ever matter in the end ... opinions are opinions , STOP THE HATING ...
I for one just like watching Quality fights no matter who is in the ring !!!
Rant over lol soap box just broke
Russ
Hey Liam, I wasnt bashing you at all bro. Ive seen fights of you and your a great fighter. I also was asking about Anuwat vs Liam and not Saenchai vs Liam. I am not trying to bash any fighter who goes in and steps through the ropes. I just dont understand why paulinthailand is so negative about the fight. Yes Yamato got knocked out and looked out classed, but he is ranked 15th by the WBC and Saenchai is ranked 4th in his weight class. There both ranked in the top 20. Regardless guys, i do understand that you guys all pretty much thought it was a mismatch. Well it wasnt the 1st and wont be the last. Thats the game, sorry. Goodluck in your fight against Anuwat, Liam. As you guys have said, its a dead issue. Hopefully the next show there maybe better fights that you guys would like a little more. Peace
Hideous refereeing where was he dug up from he wasnt even in the shot majority of the time poor positioning.
The ref is doctor nelson hamilton. Not a very good referee. He is a mma ref and works for the CSAC here in California
Just a curious question....If Saenchai is number 4 in the rankings and Yamato is number 15.....would Saenchai not be better fighting someone in the top 10?
I would assume (rightly or wrongly) that there is a vast difference in ability between no'4 and no'15.
JMHO
FB'Slim
I don't mean to come accross in the wrong way and it's mean't in the best way,
But Brutus your remark about not the 1st and won't be the last, is totally the wrong attitude, you should be taking heed from all the knowledgeable people on this forum, and try and match fighters more closely together,Because if someone gets really badly hurt it will be the promoters fault.Never mind about the BUZZ that a big name brings and just match them properly.
I agree with you john - however I have to say that people on this forum do tend to over react. Expecially when someone outside of the various little cliques does or says something that the others don't like. I just had some moron do it on another thread for example. My point is that however valid some of the points may be from some people, they could have worded it a bit better and placed less emphasis on what they think of the person making the comments, and more on the actual points at hand - this includes Brutus. Who was dead wrong as it just so happened.
I still have my own opinions of the Saenchai/Harrison fight but I'm not really gonna say much more about it since that's just the way to start arguments. Not my intention. And no disrespect was intended Liam - I know you're the best in the country by far, I'm just saying what I think.
Your own point was bang on the button though, John. The promoters have a responsibility to the sport AND to the fighters.
Nipplephlim when youve had more experience in this sport and actually have a clue about something (im not just on about this thread either) then people will take your posts serious
I've been involved for a few years - just because my actual fight experience is still novice means nothing. People not liking what I'm saying is completely different to disagreeing.
And by the way, it's "Nephilim", I know you're trying to take the mick and all, but all those knocks to the head must have done something to your sense of humor because honestly, that's schoolboy material right there. Grow up a bit mate.
you havent got a clue at all....if someone with some pull or experience, or someone who even knew what there on about gave me there opinion about my fights id take it in and listen to em, your just a plank with a keyboard nipplehead
Frankly, I don't care what you think of my opinion on your fights, my purpose wasn't to find out and if you weren't involved then I'd have still made the same points. Keep telling yourself that the only reason you haven't fought Saenchai in Thailand is because you're white, I don't care one bit. As I said before, my points still stand and instead of giving any sort of considered response, you're just getting annoyed and to be honest man, you aren't clever enough to start matching wits with people so don't do it.
rofl laughing yeah thats it hit me where hit hurts, my ability on matching wits...your a wanker who wont ever achieve anything in this sport thats why your behind your keyboard, keep doing it your doing great.
Name calling haha. It never gets old. C ya around.
Nipplephlim the reason you're getting slaughtered is because you haven't got a fooking clue.
"Slaughtered"? Whatever you say boss man.
Saenchai takes the piss if he can.
He shown it against nuff japs.
I was there too an saench wasnt fuckin about.
There should be enough respect for ppl who have
Accomplished big things in our sport.
White, thai, whatever.
Missmatches at world level can b deadly.
No sides, just my Honest opinion
Neph, not to jump on the wagon, but calling immature a world champ with stadium experience, in the biz since he was a kid: was not smart.
Liam did step in the ring with saenchai.... that's it! he has the earned the right and respect to know what he is talking about.
the day you do step in with the world best and go toe to toe, people will take you more seriously. no offense mate. In this site, there is an amazing wealth of experience and knowledge, remember that. Sometimes its a matter of keeping your mouth shut and your ears open! (or eyes lol)
I dont fight, nor have years and years experience, but do watch a fair few shows. In my opinion Liam beating Saenchai would have been a scalp for Liam, of course it would the guy is regarded the best of the best.
Lets not forget though that Liam himself is highly regarded in Thailand, and if Saenchai could have had a chance of a knockout surely would have taken it to prove not only hes best in Thailand, but also can knock out the uk's finest. The fact Saenchai fought for a points win suggests he wasnt sure/knew he wouldnt get the knockout and thought if I can take it on points why get myself smashed up with somebody whos not scared to stand and fight.
Again my opinion only but Muay Thai at the level Liam and Saenchai are at is like chess, one wrong move and your fooked! Its clear from that video upload that the opponent was not anywhere near Saenchai or Liams level. Reading posts that have got personal isnt right, I can see however that lovers of this sport are concerned that one day someone will get badly hurt/killed and then what happens?
Saenchai to retire with that as his lasting memeory? Boxing has plenty of sad stories and these are from quite well matched fights! Saenchai's match, had anything happened would have caused uproar and set this sport way back. Anyway essay over, best of luck to anybody who fights.
Atreiu, as far as I was aware this was a discussion forum and I was discussing a point when it got personal. Being the best thai boxer has nothing to do with how immature someone is. Clearly.
being the best boxer does have something to do when the topic of discussion is thai boxing, just my opinion
It does when that's what he's talking about. It still has nothing to do with name calling, slagging people off or being abusive. That's just immature and I think you'll find that I was perfectly civil until all that crap started. What do I care if they don't like my opinion? It's an open forum and the whole point is for people to post their views on here.
If it was well said then Shut it Cus it wasnt backin u
Once said.
A good fighter has ability and heart
A great fighter has ability heart and charachter.
scandal proverb poster.
everyone should be allowed an opinion on here and we love the fine bone, keep it coming
Liam,
in the same way i never understood what you were going on about
you befuddle me again
what is "fine bone",??
(hello)
the understanding was simple you get in ring, dive on floor 127 times in 3 minutes then retire again lol, take it easy mate

Liam,
I actually meant I did not understand some of the slang you used (that was all)
It is true you are a better fighter than i ever was,no doubt
best of luck to you in your future fights and your life.
I hope you are happy.
