Fantastic workshop today. 3 hours flew by, always a good sign. would be great if you could make it a regular thing Richard, you have so much knowledge to share and a very good approach to training large groups of people in concentrated time, we really enjoyed ourselves, thanks x
Loved it today, learnt loads and had a good laugh as well! Was such an easy going session
Thanks Richard, and good to catch up with Phil, Shaun and Steve
Dave
The clinchwork workshop put on by Richard Smith was by far one of THE BEST seminars I have been on for learning techniques in this much needed area of Muay Thai, there were quite a few other well known instructors there too which was nice to see such as Shaun Broland ,Lee Whittington,Steve Logan, etc I had a great training partner in a young lad called Callum plus it was nice to meet up with you DaveA and talking about some of the people you have trained with over the years!
There was a great atmosphere in the gym and everyone was really freindly the techniques taught by Richard consisted of simple moves which were fairly easy to put into practice and did'nt take much strength to make them work only correct body movement and footwork.
If there are any more to come then I recommend booking early as these really are terrific courses and well worth the money,Mr Richard Smith all I can say is that today you were AWSOME!!!
This was a great course that didn't have information overload.
Essential basic footwork and positioning was taught first, which (as my students know) is a favourite of mine
Followed by proper grips & holds, how to enter & exit the clinch, take downs & off setting balance, knees and elbows.
More and more of these courses should be offered by top instructors such as Kru Richard Smith.
Richard put the information across and demonstrated the techniques in a simple but effective way and everyone gained knowledge and experience.
As Phil said the atmosphere was great and it was equally great to meet up with old friends and new.
I really enjoyed this course and found it very useful. As everyone has said the atmosphere was great, the time flew by and there was just the right amount of information given so I feel like I've remembered alot of what we did. Great to get down to the basics of stance, positioning, timing etc. It was nice to meet some new people and to find a training partner my size! Thanks Vicky. Many thanks Richard for a great course and to you and Lisa for trying to sort out the window for me. I will definatley be up for any future courses.
