wmf worldchampionship 2006...
is there anybody coming to the subjected mt championship on 18 march in bkk ?...
Is there any info on the system that they will be using yet?
I was informed that they were experimenting with electronic score machines, but were having some problems with the system.
I can't find a website for WMF or EMF.
neil,
they will use the score card system , i think...also , i think that this is the best...
let's try wmf.online.org or "world muay thai federation..."
I dont believe the EMF have a website.

Noi, Andy W is out there with Neil training at MT Plaza - or at least that's where they were starting anyway. They mentioned moving on to Jitti's prior to the competition, but I'm guesing that'll not actually happen (can't get him on his mobile)!
If you do manage to see them let them know I'm Chok Dee-ing them and I'll be thinking of them when I'm skiing next week (the reason I'm not there!) - Came down to a choice between girlfriend and Andy...!
Good luck on your defence mate (and Liam if he's managed to get it sorted out). Acomb expects every man..!

Did The brits bag any medals????????
was thier a british team or was thier an england team
The Stadium looks Empty? No Spectators, Only Fighters, Trainers, Officials???
Is this becouse the Thai's are not interested in watching fights with full padding on???
The stadium had very few spectators due to the venue being all the way out at Thammasat University - Rangsit campus.... it took a good 45/1hrs drive to get there everyday....Not a trip that many will make if not involved with the tournament directly....especially when the best fights were being profiled on UBC and had a lot of press coverage.
There was an English/GB team fronted by Mark Cawfield along with Steve and Simon from Golden Team and Andy Wilby from Way of Life gym. There were fighters from KO gym (London), Golden Team (Leeds), Way of Life Gym (York) and Master Kevin Llyods gym in Rochdale.
It was good to see Vitali Gurgov fight in the Belarussian team...it was unfortunate that the fight with Keiron didnt happen earlier this year, but I hear there is a re-organisation on the cards!!!
That will be a great fight!!!!
It was a great tournament and I had a fantastic time working with the Turkish team. Jitti recruited me as a trainer and coach to help out with the corner work. It was my first time viewing the tournament from a trainer/corner-man perspective and I found it fantastic!
Although the Turkish team are very young and still developing in muay thai, what they did get right was the organisation and national support. They were very well organised and looked the part. I mean that everytime UBC was filming at the stadium you could not help but see some form of Turkish support!
Its great to see everyone working together and bringing different perspectives to the table...I am sure next year will be more successful!!!
I pass my congratulations on to Ercan and the rest of the Turkish team for consolidating all the different styles (tae-kwon-do, kickboxing, boxing, karate) under one banner and competing in amateur muay-thai....certainly some great prospects to come out of Turkey (and even more medals)!
I look forward to next year!!!!
Well done to all the fighters, from everyone at Jitti Gym, who all fought with fantastic heart and determination....and congratulations to the WMF for a great tournament!!!
thanks noi,
we were the 3rd last year and this year 2nd...not so bad, step by step...this year we had a different strategy..we realised the national contest 4 weeks prior to the wmf championship and had a camp of 2 weeks in turkey and a following 1 week camp in thailand...mr jitti has also joined our national camp in turkey and he has also opened his camp facilities in thailand to us..i think that this had helped a lot and this strategy was not so bad.i think that it helped especialy to some of our fighters who are originated from kb,tkd...
by the way, i would like to thank to jitti, richard, liam and all the jitti camp staff for their kind assistance and hope to see many friends at the "wmf -european championship" in turkey...
WMF world great news coming soon...
