i think this is something that the women of thai/fc can adapt to and bring home a gold for england--
im not sure if julie is too old and what the age restrictions are but there are some fantastic females in england who have already had a fighting career that could easily switch-kerry louise for one, amongst many ,many others from the thai,fc disciplines--in 3 years time they can be capable of beating anybody especially a girl who has just done aba boxing as they dont get the experience in the ring--this is massively positive for all of us,we need to grab it by the horns and get on the circuit--even form our own circuit with trials etc-sure there will be red tape, but i for one have already been suffocated in it for years-we have the edge and a massive head start.

take no notice of amir, hes wrong and im right.lol

think they just asked khan what his thoughts were on it in the light of it just being included and he gave them his op. cant knock him for that really, just sayin what he thinks. thankfully for womens boxing khans views dont hold any sway 1 way or another!

if you dont like €what khan said wait till you read what colin hart makes of it haha! You'll luv that!

Everyone has the right to their own personal opinion. I personally dont like to see women fighting, never the less i respect them as athletes and believe they should have equal rights to men, i.e allowed to box in the olympics. Its about personal choice, if women want to fight, who are men to say they cant? Good luck to them, they have the right to do any sport they like!

I just thought that since he's been all about promoting boxing in the Asian community and in the beginning got a lot of media attention about it that he would hold the opinion of 'boxing 4 all' like we do in Thai. So when he said what he said I just though -you ungreatful ****!

I'm all for it,If women want to compete fair go!
Women are treated as 2nd rate in many things,sport,jobs,religeons.... NOT in my book.Go for it i say.

I'm not saying that Amir's not allowed to have his opinion- everyone is entitled to one I mos def agree.

People say lots of stuff about women in general, wot they shud n shudn't do, let alone talking about women in contact sports-n that doesn't phase me not one dot.

I guess I was just shocked that that was HIS opinion after all the things he's been runnin his mouth about in the past then so quick to dismiss others.

Women Boxing? Sure thing , why not! They have always kickboxed and done karate etc.
I have 5 female kickboxing bouts on my show tomorrow, I also have 2 female fighters (both active) in my gym at the moment. One of them is going to start boxing unlicensed on the side for a bit of extra cash too (i actually encouraged her to do that too!).

Excellent idea, its about time women had olympic divisions in boxing.
What does Amir mean by "its too cruel" isnt it cruel when he boxes then???

I don't know what he meant by that either Farhad! but he also went on to say..

"When you get hit it's very painful. Women can get knocked out."

lol which just shows his extreme lack of intelligence. Think he shoulda stayed in school a bit longer before turning pro.
