wondering if anybody else has had problems with john barwell and fightstuff ?? i placed an order in march at fightstuff for acouple of bits,i waited 10 weeks until i decided to contact them to see where my stuff was and turns out they hadent been sent!!! john barwell apologised and told me they would be despatched straight away!! another 6 weeks and nothing so i contacted him again and got no joy for afue weeks when he got back to me i told him i wanted a refund and again he said he would sort it !! no joy so i contacted him on facebook and let him now how i was feeling again "I WILL SORT IT" has he f**k !!! feel like ive been proper tucked up by this cowboy. wouldnt advise using this website
yeah had some problems there too waited months for stuff to arrive , very similar story to yours mate
I ordered some thai pads and got good service from them so a bit surprised to hear this.
ordered a few things and worked with them on trade orders never had a problem sometimes its down to being messed around by the big boys that cause the problems.
I sincerely apologise if you had a bad experience with us. We have had some problems and we are very close to sorting everything now. Please bear with us and we really appreciate your understanding and patience during this lapse in service we are experiencing. Everything will be sorted very soon.
I have had the same problem I order shorts in feb no sign of them in July ask for refund still no sign of that either
A mate of mine also had problems with some gloves, I've never used the site myself so can't say first hand!
With regard to John Barlow - how many people has he ripped off??? We ordered a large amout of equipment which we had to pay in full up front. It has now been 11 months and we are still waiting for equipment or a refund!

Same I got sauna suit from fight stuff and the thing was torn under arm... The place is a joke... He emailed to say he would sort it but I figured pigs would probably fly before he sorted my problem... By the way this was a 40 quid twins sauna suit not just a cheapo
Whilst I accept Fight Stuff is having problems. We are working through them, but due to the magnitude of what has happened (fraud, theft and lost items) it is taking some time.
We have been in business for many years and when we have genuine problems it's easier for all to jump on the bandwagon and slag us off rather than try to understand the problems we are faced with are real and we are in the process of putting them right.
Also some of the people are just trolling on this thread and have never even ordered from us. I am not going to mention names but you know who you are!!!!

Same here. I've sent you 2 emails recently which you have not replied to regarding my refund. Apparently I've been refunded but no money has gone into my bank or paypal account.
I agree with antdog, if your having so many problems you should at least delay trading until you've sorted it all out. whilst Ive never ordered anything from your site, I certainly would never entertain the idea now.
We are in the process of sorting things out and for us to stop trading whilst we sort out a few problems is unrealistic. I'm sorry if its taking longer than what you want, but let's get thing in perspective. We have traded for many years and serviced 1000s of customers to put a hold on orders now is not feasible as we can and will sort them out. Just like how we will sort out the older problems. Its absolutely unbelievable how when people have geniune problems people turn against you. Its not like we took the easy way out and just went out of business!!!!

Well that is your opinion and seeming you have never ordered from us I would apprecaite it if you kept your comments to yourself. Like I said we have been in business for many year and serviced 1000s of customers, so we must of done something right. Whilst we are going through a rough patch we will get things back on track.

Just thought i'd post my experience up.
I ordered off John last year some gloves etc and they came (after a LONG delay) but they did arrive.
However at the beginning of this year I ordered some more, expensive stuff. Took months before I was firstly told it had been lost in post, then all of a sudden they stuff wasnt available any longer and was blamed on top king.
I opted for a refund which I had to struggle to get. I was constantly told that I would get it and I had contact the "accounts department" excuse after excuse.
Months passed so I started contacting John on facebook as I was appauled he was still taking other peoples money and trading etc when I couldnt even get mine back.
He didnt like me contacting and posting on facebook so he deleted me. I had to get people from my club to contact him and ask for MY money back which eventually I got.
I will never ever ever use this man again or recommend him.
It would seem the "problems" and "excuses" go back years if you search online hard enough. Ive heard sob story after sob story.
I think John you need to remember and realise that there are plenty of people like myself who have worked and saved hard to purchase expensive thai equipment for themselves and/or their children and cant afford not to panick and worry when there's so many "issues" when ordering from fightstuff.

we paid on 16th Dec last year for our ring skirt and still dont have it, have sent 7 mails since then but only contact was abusive text messages sent in error intoxicated which were meant for some thai girl? Can we get the ring skirt we pair for im happy to resubmit the design or you can just refund the money.
Ive given up waiting for the 2 free punchbags he promised me after all the issues I had making an order from Fightstuff, similar storys to everyone else here, huge delays, wrong equipment and rude emails. Funnily enough he was sharp enough to chase me up for money after an X student of mine boughts shorts from him and didnt pay.
I wont buy from him again, or anyone associated with him. Topking must be the most popular brand at the mo, and losing a fortune due to this shitty service.
I'm still waiting for my corner jacket it's been about 2 or 3 years.... Would never use John barwell again.

John - what you need is a process consultant to look at your end to end processes with the view of reducing lead times, remove waste, reduce risk and improve the quality. This will improve your customers experience of fight stuff and bring down your internal costs. So, if you want a consultant then mail me for details as i'm one.
I ordered some gloves a couple years back, I got them sent to another address and there was a mix up with the post office, it was actually my fault. This led to the gloves being sent back to Thailand.
I spoke to John on Facebook and he was kind enough to send some more gloves out before even receiving the returned goods himself. I got the new pair within a couple weeks or less.
Just though I'd add my experience with John @ Fightstuff.

After being patient, I have now received my refund. It took a while as people have said in previous posts but it did get processed.
I’m shocked by the negative messages on here because Ive always had great service from John Barwell
My first experience was when I bought Twins Lampini gear a few years ago for a training trip to Samui. The gloves were not immediately available, so he sent to the gym for me for my arrival.
A year later similar thing I was travelling from Samui to Bangkok just to get a tattoo at a Temple. He met me at the airport and spent the day with me! I had never met the guy before and he cant have earned more than about £20 profit from the above order.
3rd time I bought M-150 shorts, which I needed in about 10 days time to get them signed by Saenchai. I know he went out of his way to get me those shorts.
Anyway, that’s my twopeneth

Quite Surprised myself reading this post on Fightstuff and John Barwell... I have ordered only a few items from John over the last few years and each time have had nothing but a great customer service. I ordered some custom K-1 shorts on my last order and he contacted me to let me know they would be delayed before I was even concerned, which when they did arrive exceeded expectations, I have spoke to John on numerous occasions over items I have wanted to order and each time he has been nothing but friendly helpful and honest. I understand that it can be frustrating when you order something and it takes a little while to arrive, but come on folks what do you expect when ordering from Thailand, next day delivery!!!?.....
I am starting my own gym in the not to distant future and have been in contact again with John about stock I will require, in fact I have been a pain in the arse in pestering him but he has again been helpful and jovial with each response. I will be placing a big order with him shortly and I have no doubt that I will continue to receive great customer service........
