Looking to buy a ring, the lad is offering a vinyl cover instead of a cotton cover, easier to clean, no stains on it etc... which all make sense to me.
One question though, would a vinyl cover get slippy if you had say 16 fights on it with sweat and all, or would it be okay. I have visions of lads trying to kick and fallign on their asses.
If you saw the "fightcode" show recently? They had a vinyl cover and it was terrible for fights.Got really slippy and dangerous really as no grip.Vinyl matting on a training area gets slippy with sweat/condensation so i'd say stay well clear and get cotton! ASK Sandy about the Fightcode show with vinyl in the ring,He said it was a bad idea.
