David Tieu vs Richmond Anan
Carlton Lieu vs Yahia Abazza
2 amazing fights
Sam Wilson vs Eric Darricarre is a good one but I think Sam will be to much for Eric with him only having 1 come back fight with Mark Beale. Have to say he did beat Beale in 1 round and Beale has been around a lot.
Erics on 45 plus fights so with his experience Gonna be tough. He looked really hungry against Mark Beale.

Both are out unfortunately but we still have about 18 fights on. Line up coming soon
Carlton V's Yahia should be a great clash of styles and possibly young Carlton's biggest test to date. This lad just keeps growing with every fight so I know he'll be up for the test!

Looking awesome!!!!! Can't wait for this!!!!!!!!
Not long to go now, can't wait to see Carlton in his first A Class! I always said this lads a talent and big star of the future!!!
Question is, will the awkward style of Yahia trouble or bring out the best in the young technician???
Predictions anyone....?
I just love it. Anna wins world titles " Awkward" Yahia a young technical fighter " Awkward . Abdul unbeaten "Awkward " . I suppose Greg is Awkward so to is Amanda in fact I teach my own brand of Awkward Muay Thai.. Lol x
Bill stop been awkward lol x
I predict a great show . Charlton is talented as to is Yahia . So a good match up
for me
Carlton Lieu points win
Kaz Assim points win
Sam Wilson points win
Liam Hugues points win
David Sa Stoppage win
Rashdan muhammad TKO win
Affan Khan points win
Kyle Heller wins via points
Sam Wilson wins via points
David Sa wins via stoppage
Richard Lee wins via stoppage
Yahia Abazza wins via Points
Great show all round! Can't wait for the next one x
Yes good win indeed, and he had to work for it.
Good experience for Carlton too, he will learn a lot from this loss and come back stronger.
One hell of a fight though, I am sure at some point they will rematch!
Spot on Bill, I'd say Greg and Amanda are massively awkward too! When I say that I mean an awkward opponant as they all have that style of fighting that is on you the whole time, relentless, constant workrate utilising all weapons. That to me makes an awkward person to fight against so I guess you do teach your own brand of AMT Bill ;) lol x
As for the show, some great fights and have to say the overall level of "C-Class" fights was really high! Some really impressive lads coming through and showing great skills especially compared to their experince levels. Some classy B-Class and the main event was action packed A-Class action.
Really enjoyed seeing the smart fighters like David Sa who did exactly what he needed to do to stop the fight early and was a class act winning by low kick stoppage.
Kyle Hellier was the one that stood out for me and you know I love you Kyle but I train with Liam and was secretly gunning for the underdog ;) Liam is class and huge at 67kg's, awkward southpaw (not to be confused with AMT ;) lol..) with a massive left kick. He is a powerhouse but Kyle really showed his experience and some beautiful evade and counter techniques that had me and Howson wondering if he can dislocate his spine! Kyle took some big shots and kept his composure to take the win and for me was one of the best performances I've seen from Kyle, good work mate! Credit to Liam whos only on 8/9 fights now and shows great promise for the future mixing it up with someone at Kyles level.
Rash Muhammad dished out muaythai 101 and a textbook performance kicking the body well, end of.
So happy for Nick Carter who is an ambasador for muaythai with such a good attitude and work ethic and a real passion to be the best he can be. Watch out for this lad in the future as he's a novice now but I don't see it taking long before he's up there.
Rich "Jazzy Jeff" Lee, or Rich "Fresh Prince" Lee as he's often known due to his afro put on a great performance against a very tough Rory Crawford to become the ISKA Southern Area Champ. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy and lives and breathes the sport.
Can't talk about everyone as I'm supposed to be working but obviously have to talk about the main event. This was a step up in opponant for Carlton and a great match up. Carlton started strong in the early rounds but Yahia showed class and superb fitness but coming forward the whole time. The KO game plan was spot on and Yahia didn't let Carlton's kicks phase him, he aswered and walked forward with long knees and constantly kicked off both legs. In the clinch neither really dominated in my view but Yahia landed a few elbows but nothing with real effect, instead both fighters locked each other down. Carlton sarted to score a knee before locking in the later stages of the fight but Yahia's superier work on the outside had him ahead on the score sheets imo. Both lads had an explosive finish to what was an action packed fight but Yahia had scored well throughout the whole fight and took the victory. Big respect to Yahia but as I've said before, I have huge belief that Carlton Lieu is going places and I think it's easy to forget that this was his 7th outing (9th fight due to tourney) and first A-Class and to mix it with someone of Yahia's skills he deserves big respect.
Back to work now, over and out x
Have to say a quick word about my good friend Sam Wilson of Team Tieu V's the very tough Eric Darricarrere from Team Panicos. This was to decide the ISKA British Title at 72.5kgs. This was a great display of techniques with both fighters starting in the traditional Thai way and testing each other. Both fighters displayed a real awareness and were working each other out before moving into some really powerful techniques. This was the first time I'd seen Eric fight but I've heard alot about this highly rated fighter and he didn't disapoint. Sam Wilson is in my view still a highly underated fighter and showed his skills in this performance and secured a convincing win. Sam has great hands and throws accurate punches at angles that people don't see coming and he utilised this to set up some powerful kicks to secure the points.
I'd really like to see Sam Wilson take on any of the big names between 70-72.5kg's as I believe he will cause a major upset to a number of class fighters. Sam has fought and won British titles but I really feel it's time he was given the opportunity to fight for commonwealth, international and world titles as he's ready to move onto the bigger stage and start testing his skills against the best, obviously one step at a time. The big question is: who will be willing to give him the chance?
Thanks for the nice comment on Kyle, Mr Fensom., much appreciated.
Kyle did a fantastic job against Liam. We knew Liam has a lovely left kick and had to prepare correctly for that attack. Hes got a great style and was MASSIVE for 67kg...I reckon he was about 72kg by the time he fought.
The biggest difference in this fight was how clean and precise Kyles attacks were, not just his experience.
He has now won 4 of his last 4 outings, including defending his English Title.
Since moving camps and setting up with me, he has won 6 and lost only 2 (Sean Hodgers in 4 Nations May 2011 and Salah on Xplosion 2011).
This is a massive improvement from him and he is only going to get better. There are still lots of great fights out there for him and we hope to get matched up on some other great promotions.
He's got the summer off and rightly so. Then next up for him is the IFMA World Championships in September as he is part of the England Team.
Great show and some good class fights.
I thought Yahia was aweseome against Carlton. Both great lads and worthy of the main event.
also like to mention Connor Mccormack. Was a fantastic display of muay thai, and I think this kid will go far, think he's only 17!
Definitely Jess, really nice lad too and rangey as hell, always scores well so looks to have a really good understanding of the sport this early in his career. Think that was only his 2nd or 3rd fight too but as with so many of the fights on this show, looks like a much higher level than the stats would suggest. Credit to Phil for the match making as all good tough fights and well matched, good to see!
The show was fantastic. Went to one last year and was so impressed with the level of fighters on there from C class up to A class.
It was the same at the weekend. All fights were well matched. There were some great battles and the atmosphere in the Scala is good.
Philip, next time can you see if you can get a load of fans for the changing room we was in as it was like a sauna in there haha...
Also, I think the girls doing the tricks in the loops, should of had less clothes on - only an observation ;))
Jez
Massive thank you to all the fighters, coaches, supporters, judges, jesse, commentators Fensom and Howson for helping making it a
good night.
This will be the first show to be shown on sky tv in a few weeks and I hope it helps promote Muaythai in the uk.
Really happy with my guys Carlton and Liam both losing to Really good fighters with more than double there experience. Taking nothing nothing away from Kyle and Yahia who both have come along way and I'm sure there's more to come from them too.
Will post full results later.
Always a pleasure Philip and always a top show with top fights. Looking forward to seeing it on 'My' TV channel 219 and to your next show..
The ring girls / girls in general made me jiz my pants amazing oh and the show was ace too.
Shaun, I think it's on a different channel, Phil will confirm.
Ahh, Okay Dave The film crew had me introducing 'My Channel' so that's why I presumed. No worries as long as the show gets an airing.
Was that when you stole my limelight? hahaha ;)
'Lemon'light more like ;-) x
well done to Connor from PMT and Chris who has put in a lot of hard work and really turned Connors style around.
Gutted couldn't make this one love watching all Team Tieu fighters, good style and know how to score.
Really good show as usual, some really close fights! Think Sam Wilson is very underrated think he will cause trouble to anyone in top ten that division!
Totally agree and have said those exact words myself. Sam Wilson should be given a shot at all the big boys and people will see the upset this lad will cause. Genuine, respectful, talented and tough lad. Would love to see more promotors giving Sam Wilson a go at the big time as he more than deserves to be there and has proven himself at every opportunity he has been given so far. Now who's gonna give him the shot???
all of ko gym is awkward its very hard to watch greg is the best one but he spends the least time training with them that is why
Paul Ward, you're just one of those losers who's not man enough to show a full profile and likes to come on this site not to be constructive but just to try to annoy people.
I like how you're trying to turn what I said into a dis but if you read my post above then you'll see what I meant mate. As for being "very hard to watch", I think most of the UK will be watching Greg take on Luke Turner a week on Saturday at Xplosion at the O2 as that is set to be one of the most exciting domestic match up's this year imo.
"Don't feed the troll" . He will waste away .
