Posted: 2012-04-12 06:33:32
not knocking it but how can a tournament decide who is british champ? surely the draw and how banged up you are etc all influence the final? also the rules+title descriptions all state the winner of a 5x3 bout? not after already having done a 3x3 bout.
cant they be like british ukmf tournament champion or something?

Four man tournament completed today. Is going to be a new exciting development in Muay Thai, that i want to keep trying.

Weights confirmed shortly.

We have a fantastic adult male British title bout confirmed to top the bill, with possibly two international A-class bouts joining the main event.

We are currently looking to fill the remainder of the under card, which already has two midlands titles and eight C-class bouts on.

If you have any fighters you wish put forward for the event, then please email next week with details.

Take a break but don't knock it on the head. I can't say cuz I don't fight so I don't know how you feel. But you've got everyone talking about you keep it going. Thai boxing is one of those sports where once you've stopped everyone forgets. Keep going man you can do it.

goof luck with next show ryan, could have tournament champions aswel and the british champions a bit like the toyota and the izusu ones in thailand just an idea as its not same winning brit title as winning a tourny.

I would fight on this, but I'm a black belt in Shuroken Karate, so I don't think anyone would be qualified to fight me, also if I fought you'de need insurance incase I killed someone in the ring, Shuroken Karate is the most dangerous combat in the world.

Leigh's original opponent was Danny Bright but they changed the weight to 67kg which was too light. Lewis stepped in, had no idea of his record or his capability and accepted the fight on the merit of the organisers and his camp. As it was a title shot I expected that his opponent would be of standard. The lad showed good heart stepping up to Leigh but,as you pointed out, Leigh was too experienced and strong.
Anyhow, where have you been? I know your missus has had another baby (congratulations by the way)but you ask me every year to get you a fight but each year you go AWOL? Can't get you fights Marcus if you don't train and make weight. Hope to see you back soon ;-) x

do you know if them 2 are in there last year of juniors, or first year of seniors?

i've got a lad 12 years old, turning 13 soon in his second year of senior schoolx Might be able to help you out depending on what year there in because last year of juniors will be too young for us to fight.

Wow,

What a fantastic night of Muay Thai!

Thoroughly enjoyed this one, not to much stress and all panned out well.

Congrats to Adam Memon (Singto Gym) for your win, well done lad!

Also massive well done to Bart Tweed from Chris Podesta Muaythai gym, who had to dig deep, deep, deep to bring back a win against a very tough Reece Thompson (Mungkorn Dam Gym).

Would love to see these two fight again in the future : )

Fight of the night had to be the Super Welterweight (69.8kg)

Brad Stanton (Kiat Phontip Gym) vs Richmond Annan (KO Gym). This was supposed to be the replacement fight for Salah vs Richmond on my last show in April, but we just couldn’t get it organised quickly enough to make it happen.

Full results soon..

Reece and barts fight was a war!!! they both left nothing in that ring bart was just that much stronger in the clinch to edge the win when they are both adults it will be great fight but i reckon bart will be a few kilos heavier than reece in the future.

first show i been too since i go back form Thailand last sunday and i was well impressed with brad stanton i had no idea who he was but trust me i do now, great fighter
