The SuperShowDown team have brokered a deal to bring two of Muaythais biggest names to Scotland in November for the 4th installment of SuperShowDown..
This could well be the biggest fight in history to ever take place outside of thailand ..
The fight is confirmed and the contracts have been signed..
Saenchai (born July 30, 1980), formerly known as Saenchai Sor. Kingstar (Thai: แสนชัย ส.คิงสตาร์), .And now know as Saenchai MuayThaiGym..
He won the Lumpinee Championship title in four different weight divisions ,the most recent against his old rival Saketdao ,along with the WMC and WBC World titles, while mostly fighting above his natural weight; therefore he is considered one of the best pound for pound Muay Thai fighters in the world.
He has often given up 5 lbs. + in weight to find worthy opponents in Thailand. Against foreigners the skill is so far apart he will go up as high as 147 pounds, which is 15+ pounds above his best weight.
Pakorn Sakyothin was Raja Champion 3 years ago and was ranked 1 at Lumpinee, Raja and WMC the rankings have just been updated and he is not ranked 1 at WMC, 2 at Lumpinne (dont know how because he has beaten the number 1 kongsak twice) and ranked and 4 at Rajadamnern
All Martial Arts fans should embrace this opportunity to see one of the greatest fights ever outside of Thailand.. To see Saenchi on these shores again we are very lucky, not only to have him here , but against Pakorn who was in the fight of the year against Pornsaneh in 2010 (the 4th round which is now legendary)..

Today at Lumpinee Stadium Saenchai fought Penake :
Saenchai wins against Penake, Saenchai is the King of Muay Thai, you simply have to come and see him fight on SuperShowDown, probably will be your last chance to see this living legend again on these shores....
A Phuket super-fight that never was; Rawai’s former star Saenchai (who spent a year training near Nai Harn Beach, and left recently) versus a man from, of all places, Patong, Penek.
Well now, with p4p God Saenchai winning the Lumpinee Stadium lightweight title against long time rival Sagetdao, and Penek (also known as Pen-ake) soundly defeating Sam-A and becoming Sportswriters of Thailand Fighter of the Year in the process, the time was ripe for a truly delicious matchup. And that matchup just occurred;
Saenchai soundly outpointed Penek (Pen-ake) over five rounds in the Lumpinee Stadium, Bangkok, mecca of Muay Thai.
Saenchai apparently sustained a cut in round 4, but throughout the fight controlled the pace and landed the cleaner strikes. The current Fighter of the Year was a game opponent, and the young man is undoubtedly on a great learning curve tonight. The day will come when it is his hand raised in the biggest superfight in Thailand, as it was last time against Sam-A. Penek’s time at the top (for more than four weeks) will come, but in 2012, the old master still just has too much in the locker.
Small cut under his right eye, was on a mission last night unbelievable have not seen him like that for long time, even better than his last fight with Sagetdao,
They truely will be blessed to have him v a top Thai in Scotland,
I would not miss this fight if I lived anywhere in the UK or even Ireland.
Just how good is Saenchai ? . Well he just beat Pen-aek sitnumnoi ( fighter of the year ) convincingly and gave away weight I believe . He is still current and hot .
why is simon a troll? because he thinks jojo will win????
jojo is a top drawer fighter and hard as fk with gr8 skills, as is iman. i'm sure you have your opinion on it too does that make you a troll?
I hate that word troll,no one is aloud an opinion any more,it is a word to often banded about by the media to suppress free speech and get us all to be sacred to speak up and therefore easier to control, that word should be banned from this site.
Jesus did'nt mean to cause offense. I thought a troll was someone without a profile my bad, maybe i'm a bit biase about iman as i know her,but i still think she will win.
p.s. sorry to the ax police for using Jesus :)
Saenchai coming off another win last night over Medhi Zatout (France). Think he fought at the Reebok before? I assume the fight was made at about 67kg considering Zatout has fought up to 70kg; despite Saenchai weighing in at 58kg last friday for Peneak fight!
Briancal, does that picture of saenchai and Penake belong to you? Im putting together a Muay Thai calendar and this shot would be great for it as i did a story on this fight.
My email is owen@driftwoodcinema.com if you could contact me
I see a few of my own articles and videos in this thread ;)
Briancal - "source- FightSportAsia / Fletch" ta mate
Should be a great one. I'm loving Saenchai's 2012, since he left Sinbi and got the fuck away from Nai Harn Beach and Phuket's bargirl lifestyle (which is top, btw) he's back to absolutely clowning people and taking names
I can't wait for the Penek rematch too. I just hope Sagetdao doesn't get to fight either of them again
Pakorn's highlights from his fight from Rajadamnern last night, Pakorn in Red Shorts
Ranked Number 1 at Rajadamnern
Ranked Number 4 at Lumpini
Ranked Number 1 by the WBC
Ranked Number 5 by the WMC
His Opponent in this fight is Yodwicha
Ranked Number 6 at Rajadamnern
Ranked Number 6 at Lumpini
Ranked Number 5 by the WMC at different weight.
So when Pakorn fight's Saenchai in Glasgow 10.11.12 you are in for a real treat, you don't want to miss this...

Saenchai just beat Singdam on points at Rajadamnern, LEGEND.
Saenchai's next stop Glasgow 10.11.12. Best fighter on the planet be there and see this man fight live not to be missed :) For all Muay Thai fans out there this will be your last chance to see this man fight on our shores..
Got this from Rob Cox on twitter : Saenchai able to pick him off coming in, midround in last Singdam knew mile behind and conceded
Saenchai comfortable win on points, got slightly ahead end of 3rd, Singdam had to go forward this time and that was his downfall

THE SHOW IS A COMPLETE SELL OUT,
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PAY AT THE DOOR FOR THIS EVENT.
why do i keep banging on about thais being in the uk all the time?
a few reasons, an interest in your show and also the longer they are in the uk the better for the uk muay thai scene if coaching and seminars... also the fresher they will be for fighting hard
Plus it has been known for people to advertise shows with Thai only for them not to show up..visa probs etc,not meaning your shows here Brian but people do like to know whats going on:)
I would still have concerns about how much they will really want to fight. I hope I'm wrong though and a decent ko bonus would help, is that on the line Brian?
Saenchai. And pakorn defo came to fight. What a fight it was
Magic stuff right up to abt the last minute they were both going for it
Top top top show
Well done Brian and everyone who was involved :)
Alan weaver fight was a belter he spangled willie about 12 times lol but tht boys tough as fuck and a cant believe he bounced up after the last knockdown ha. Ally smith was a warrior, Salah was unbelieveale to watch and saenchai threw 4-5 cartwheel kicks..sorted haha
Great show, well done Brian! Saenchai was amazing, had to work though coz Pakorn definitely came to fight! Thought Darren was really good too! Glasgow was f***ing freezing ha!!
Great show, was brilliant to have a main event like that and fair play to Brian for pulling it off!!
Bailey was brilliant and worked so hard in the gym for this fight!......Great performances from Daz O Connor and Salah, first time i ve seen Salah fight and he is class, i ve never seen Gordon dropped before so fair play to him, with guys like him and Brad Stanton, Solomon Wickstead and Sam Omomogbe comign through the weight division is going to be very strong for the next 10 years or so!!
Wullie Murphy v Alan Weaver was absolutely insane and possible about 11 of the most ridiculous minutes i ve ever seen.....good work boys!!
Top Quality show willie murphy is hard as nails Darren oconnor was ace really clever fighter! Main event what can I say proper sexual Muay Thai. Fighter who really stood out to me was salah from minotouers the guy is an animal!! Also well done to Keith new wmc champion nice 1 mate
Well done Keith mate, and damn that epic body shot of yours lol
Thanks keith and brian for giving us the opportunity right before saenchai :) great show
Great night of Muay Thai really enjoyed it!
Was really impressed with Salah and Alan Weaver!! Both were fantastic, Salah really technical and precise and Weaver is a powerhouse for the weight! Enjoyed watching Ally Smith too, he has a great style for K1!
Saenchai fight was just a spectacle, the man is a legend and didn't seem phased with anything Pakorn through, until he got hit with a few bombs in the 5th!
Rung was also added entertainment, absolutely hilarious trying to dance in the ring etc, although i seen everyone getting pissed off because of him.
Great night and some great up and coming talent on show!
Surely the busiest the playdrome has ever been. Absolutely packed and a magic atmosphere. Missed the first 4 fights so if anyone can fill in the results for me that would be great, fights from what I can remember...
David Bowie VS Nathan Ghundoo
2nd time Ive seen Ghundoo fight (other being on HGH show)was impressed with him again, good kicker, deserved win.
Derek Strain VS Mitchell Flett
Derek came to fight from the start and looked to have rocked Mitchell a few times with big heavy punches, and looks the stronger of the 2 in the clinch. Mitchell's head kick was awesome and most other fighters would have went down from it. Unfortunately for Derek it looked like he hurt his knee quite badly when both fighters went to ground in the clinch and he was unable to recover. Shame a good fight ended early.
Timucin Yilidrum VS Allan Strachan
Thought Allan looked the better of the 2 in the opening rounds, solid body kicks and good punching combinations keeping Timucin on the back foot. Aggressive and constantly pushing the pace. Unfortunately for Allan big knees and unanswered body kicks in 3 and 4 lost him the fight.
Ally Smith VS Euan Irvine
Cool, calm and clinical from Ally Smith who controlled the fight throughout, stopping Euan with leg kicks in the 3rd (I think). Constant pressure stopped Euan from getting going, Ally mixing up elbows, punches, knees and kicks well.
Mescho Dunko VS Michael Blood
Stopped early on with Mescho sustaining a large cut
Alan Weaver VS Willie Murphy
Wild fight from the offset, Alan Weaver put him down for 2 8 counts if I remember correctly. Willie tough as nails came back with solid knees before finally getting put down with punches again. Great fight for the crowd thats for sure. Brian surely your next show has to have Jordan VS Alan Weaver, got to be the 2 best 57 fighters in the country, think that would be an amazing fight.
Gordon Smith VS Salah
Another fantastic fight, Salah showing how good he was having Gordon constantly on the back foot. First time Ive ever seen Gordon dropped, Salah looked strong from the outset. Loved how he was in the centre of the ring with 30 seconds of the break still to go. Got to be demoralising for the opponent.
Stevie Brown VS Daz O'Connor
Comfortable win for Darren doing what he does best picking up points with the body kicks. Smothered Stevie in the clinch and threw him several times. Celebration left a lot to be desired though, falling off the ropes ;-)
Keith McLachlan VS Jai Muay Thai fighter
Must have been a late replacement but he came to fight and they both looked evenly matched until Keiths left hook claimed another victim. Must keep dynamite in his gloves or something. Smart belt to win too.
Saenchai VS Pakorn
Pleasure to watch live showing just how good they are. Pakorn was aggresive and loved how he threw 3 kicks at a time, however Saenchai was too quick, and too slick for him and pikced up a comfortable points victory.
All n all a class show. Great matched fights, good crowd. Being able to drink the arena made all the difference. Only gripe was how late it ran. cant wait for the next 1 Brian, hopefully they keep getting bigger and bigger.
Thanks to Stevie Brown and Alan Currie for giving me a rematch, This was a massive fight for me personally as Stevie beat me 3 years ago so I couldn't let that happen again and it meant the world to me to win because it shows i've gone in the right direction over the last 3 years...
Thanks most of all to Liam and Andy for helping me on the day, my gym had there own show in Liverpool so they cornered me and I wouldn't have performed so well without there instructions, everything they told me to do worked. Thanks lads love ya's x
salah looked a brilliant fighter, really sharp.alan weaver is aguy i love watching fight, ive never seen him in a boring fight and as for keith what can i say that hasnt been said, just magic:-)
yeah salah looked great totally changed his style sine i last saw him and its a mass improvement hes gonna be dangerous at 67 kg not many will beat him. i love watching alan weaver but hats off to will murphy too that was literally one of the most insane fights iv ever seen. chris taylor and kieth looked fairly even bfore that body shot, fair play to chris only 4 days notice and only a handful of fights he did great.
Hats of to brian what a show not a dull fight tbh great night of muay thai fighting!
Fighter of the night for me was definetly Salah with the exclusion of saenchai and pakorn of course aha
when saenchai entered the place went nuts haha was amazing atmosphere
Highlight of the night for me waS when pakorn got announced everyone was clapping and looking for pakorn but instead Rung "The highlander thailander" appeared dancing down the ramp steamin the whole crowd were in absolute stitches hahaha
