No doubt this will be another fantastic show. So much respect for Craig, the show has grown organically, is always well run, well matched, well supported and now has a fantastic "co-promoter" in Phil.

Gym/fighters, get on this show, they are doing things the right way and these are the shows we need to support.

Thankyou Paul for your nice comments. I just try to put a show on which looks after the fighters, trainers+obviously the paying fans+hope I get it right.
Phil is working in a kind of Head Co-ordinator/Management role to ensure everything is organised to perfection and bring all his experience from mainly behind the scenes at RATR + Main Event, right to the forefront + bring some new ideas + keep me from cracking up!! Phil is doing something at the moment which is something special and will be a great new addition to FMC.
Chalky- not confirmed but probably start approx 2.30pm.
Plenty of things to come yet so keep checking on here+my facebook.

No probs Craig, good to see a promoter who thinks about the fighters 1st also organically growing his promoting whilst still trying to maintain/increase the quality of the show.
chillibulldog
Posted: 2012-07-30 16:30:39
Way I see it Paul, no rush in jumping feet first into a huge show and suddenly finding out your in too deep. Started 1st sole promotion with 300 attendance and last show prob 650.
Aiming to build the shows slowly and if another successful show in Sept, with what is looking like an amazing card, have the next step up March 9th 2013.
Always want to look after fighters and paying public as there is no show without them.

Some great new matches made for this show over the last week including:
B class:
63kg Ian Hollibeque(Legions) v Ant Magee(Elite Fight Factory)
50kg Amanda Mc Williams(Merseythai) v Amy Lloyd(Knuckles)

Plenty more to be revealed.

Amandas fight weight is now 48kg, but we felt commited to Amy who was supposed to fight Amanda twice but Amy has had to withdraw through injury and then the second time found out she was pregnant, so as a one off Amanda will fight Amy at her walk around weight 50kg.

Really excited for the undercard on this, some great fights matched already.
Amanda looked impressive last month v Sarah Gibbs.

Right guys heres a public challenge.

As some of you may be aware, I was due to have a charity boxing fight with Mike Hill,Phoenix Gym, on HGH show Aug 11th.
Mike has been uanable to get his weight down to the agreed weight of 78kg. A higher weight of 79kg was offered but still couldnt make it. Mike has hurt his knee and looking at possible surgery.

Mike I challenge you to a boxing fight 3x2 mins 78kg MAX,10oz gloves on this show. No bigger gloves, relaxed rules, no fight 28 days before, make weight I will pay you a purse and ticket deal.

Reply by email fighting.machines@yahoo.co.uk or text me. I dont want no big drawn out thing on this thread as looks unprofessional and I am certainly not unprofessional.

That is my final word on it.

Didnt get to see much but the feedback on the fights is all positive, some very entertaining and close bouts. Full results will be posted soon but from what I know Perry, Stanton, Kate Stables, Craig Jones all won.
I would like to thank everybody who helped with setup and running of the show, so many people without whom it simply would not be possible. You know who you are.
We were again badly let down by 'Ringmasters' services. Never ever would I reccommend anybody go near that shower, atrocious doesnt come close.
So a massive thank you to Chris Podesta, Sandy Holt, Mark Sergeant, Lee Chesters and the others who helped fix the diabolical issues with the ring.
Ive never been involved in anything where so many people go so far out of their way to help, as soon as the problem came about they were falling over each other to get it sorted, absolutely lost for words at their kindness.

as always with Craigs shows Awesome and Even Better with Help of Phil Sheddon and thankyou to you Both for the Tickets for me and Emma beeps Much appreciated thanks !

As always Great Matchmaking Makes Great fights and some stormers and performances !

hats off to them ALL as even though ive done Thai boxing longer than i havent, & im still Impressed by it all and by fighters and how Flipping Tough this / our sport really is !!!!!!!!!!!

Emma got 4 out of 4 predictions right and me 3 outa 4
and in no way is it a `told you so statement` as one persons victory is their opponents sadness and loss
We have all won and lost in the ring or in life, and i firmly beleive you need to taste both !

Anyway Top show
Thankyou

Ruaraidh Watson from jersey Thai will be a big name in the uk if he can keep gettin the fights. Heard he had a nice pts win last nite! Dunno how Michael blood got stopped with a knee in the 1st but I would like for those lads to hav a ratch as that dosent do michaels ability any justice, well done to Brad though. Unlucky for Ben been stopped in the 5th, a real good lad.

Josh v Scott. After 1.30 of round 1 the top rope on the ring snapped, after long wait they carried on and from a clinch Josh took Scott down but Scott held onto Josh and landed badly on his right arm with the ref then leaning onto them both. The fall looked bad but Scott got up and saw out the rets of round 1. He cam out for round 2 but only really had 1 arm and Josh then steamed forward Scott made a go of it keeping him at bay and using the ring to avoid but in the end Josh clinched him and Scott only had 1 arm and then took knee to his right arm. He got up and was ready to fight on but the ref stopped the fight for his own health. It was looking to be a good fight and from what I have been told they will rematch March time under Full Thai rules

A massive thanks to phil and craig for putting on a well organised and amazing show. All three lads from Jersey feel privileged to have been a part of it as they rarely if ever get to perform off the island. Any promoters looking for fighters for future shows, please consider us and of course we will return the favour :-)

Would like say a huge thanks to alot of people for the support on Fighting Machines 5 starting with our fantastic sponsors. I appreciate all the valuable support you provide and hope to continue working with you all in the future.

Thanks to all trainers, fighters, officials and all who worked behind the scenes and very much front of house during the night. Had a great team working alongside me and thankyou all so much as it couldnt have happened without you. Best guys out there.

Had a nightmare on the night mainly with the ring, again. Cannot recommend Ringmasters to anyone again as thats 2 shows on the run I have had problems with their rings. Thanks to all who helped fix it again, Sandy, Paul Crossley, Marc sargeant,Lee Chesters and anyone else.

Some fantastic fights on the day/night and really enjoyed the few I saw.

Details for pics I will sort but add Michael Savage on Facebook, our photgrapher.
Dvd ready in 10 days and get in touch with me if you want to order a copy.

Finally but definately not least, HUGE thanks to a very hardworking man yesterday and over the last month Phil Sheddon. He has brought new ideas and new strengths to Fighting Machines and was bloody shit hot cleaning with his team today lol.

Next show March with some exciting matches already agreed. Watch this space!!!

Will post results of show later or tommorrow.

Great show last night again guys, was happy to be one of the sponsors (BodyPhysics).
If any on the fighters what to come and redeem the voucher for a free treatment just give me a buzz.

On a side note, had a text from Scott today, he was asked to go to the hospital as a precaution...... He's ok but has a hairline fracture...... and the nutter was complaining yesterday as he wanted to carry on because he could hold his arm up! :-)

Looking forward to seeing him fight again now that he's NorthWest based
