Kickboxing : “K-1” - Badr Hari returns!

---------------------------------------

"K-1" and the Fight Channel have announced that Badr Hari will replace an overbooked Ben Edwards in the "K-1" World Grand Prix in Zagreb.

With the "K-1" promotion being reneown for having such strong Champions holding the "K-1" Heavyweight World Grandprix Title, such as in the most recent years Alister Overeem and of course Semmy Schilts, should Badr Hari lift the crown he would no doubt be a great asset to "K-1" Global Holdings, as Badr Hari seems to be the only star signing in the sport of Kickboxing not to have signed with "GLORY".

A CroCop vs Badr final would be fantastic for K-1, and for the sport as a whole!

CroCop well past it IMO

Agreed, but it would be a nice way to close a fantastic carear. If he had not gone into M.M.A. , in which he became PRIDE Champion, he would have probrably won the K-1 WGP HW title at some point.

Badr too, is an uncrowned champion, and one of only a few men to ever defeat Semmy Schilts.

Never tire of seeing that video, Badr Hari is a throwback to the times of Hooste and Aerts, K1 superstar, so exciting to watch!

Exactly! Hooste, Aaerts during the Golden Years of "K-1"!

This actual bout happened outside of the "K-1" promotion and instead was on "ItsShowtime", for their Kickboxing 'brand' Super-Heavyweight Title.

This lead the way for a true rival to emerge to "K-1", via "GLORY"

Competition can raise standards, and Kickboxing is definately benefitting from this now.

Any updates on what the draw will be for the brackets?

Hopefully Badr Hari and Cro-Cop avoid each other in the Quarter-Finals, and possibly the Semi's. That could setup a great final!

Fingers crossed, for this to happen. Kickboxing, with the sport at this time going through a resurgant explosion in its popularity, could really do with an outstanding "K-1" Heavyweight World Grandprix Final.
