Ben Hodge Vs Antoine Pinto has just been announced. It's weird trying to call this one, as I used to train with Ben and have only seen Antoine on tv. But Ben's tricky right handed southpaw style could cause all sorts of problems for Antoine I think. If Ben is on form and fit I think he will beat him.

There was talk of Jon Greenwood for this fight. But I had said Jon was unlikely to be lighter than 71....needless to say Ben got the nod instead. Good luck to Ben. and hopefully he and Jon can bout some time soon.

I dont see the logic of flying fighters in to fight fighters that they are flying in? We must have enough fighters willing to get in the ring with ikkusung, yod, suds etc etc?

Superstars from the world of Muay Thai will return to King Power Stadium on Monday 5 May as THAI FIGHT WORLD BATTLE 2014 comes to Leicester City.
In a spectacular celebration of Thai sporting culture to follow the overwhelming success of a sell-out THAI FIGHT EXTREME event in 2012, world-renowned Muay Thai exponents such as Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Antoine Pinto will be competing in a series of seven explosive fights.

Leicester City Football Club Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha will be present to welcome thousands of fight fans to the exciting exhibition of elite fighters, which is being broadcast live on Channel 3 in Thailand.

The crowd will then be treated to a stunning celebration of Thailand’s national sport of Muay Thai– a discipline that requires a phenomenal level of technical ability and has become one of the most popular martial arts in the world.

Combining striking with the hands, feet, knees and elbows, as well as the incorporation of a host of sophisticated defensive techniques, Muay Thai fights offer up a wonderfully entertaining spectacle of technical excellence.

All this means tickets are expected to be snapped up quickly by fight fans from around the UK and Europe, so make sure you book yours soon to avoid disappointment.

The event will take place in a purpose-built facility in the grounds of King Power Stadium, which similarly to the 2012 event, will house around 4,000 people, and will run for three action-packed hours from 4.45pm.

Among the elite-level fighters competing on the night will be:

SUDSAKORN SOR KLINMEE, ANTOINE PINTO, LEO PINTO, KEITH McLACHLAN, IQUEZANG KOR ROONGTANAKIAT, CHRISTOPHE PRUVOST, YODSANKLAI FAIRTEX, SAMY SANA, BEN HODGE, HICHEM MENAOUINE, ANTHONY FERGUSON, ALEX DASS REY, JOSH PALMER AND BATYR KORGOLOEV.

Tickets are now on sale for the event, priced between £15 and £45, and are available either online at www.LCFCDirect.com, from the City Fanstore at King Power Stadium or by calling the Sales Centre on 0844 815 5000 (option 1). Tickets priced at £15 will be situated in the back three rows of blocks B and C.

Group bookings are also welcome. For bookings of 100 or more, please contact the Sales Centre direct.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the LCFC Foxes Foundation.

I don't think it's fair to call Hodge Vs Pinto a mismatch - Ben has fought at a world class level before, losing once in a robbery to a Cambodian champ and knocked out a French champion to nick his title in France. Pinto is probably the first Lumpinee champion he has fought and it's therefore a step-up, but it doesn't make this fight a mismatch.

I think thai fight left it very very late to contact some of the people they wanted on this card, you don't accept fights like this if your not 100% fit.

Don't most of the Brits on this already have fights lined up before/after?

Hodge, fighting on his own show 3 may
Mclachlan on main event 7 June
ferguson matched in June to?

Does this mean the card will be different from the one previously announced?
