The response has been overwhelming so far guys, we have hundreds of names to process.

To be clear, the rankings are independent of any sanctioning body and are for any Junior fighters in the UK and Ireland aged 5-17 yrs. The rankings will only be as good as the information we receive from the gyms.

It is quite clear already that we have some elite juniors in the UK, some of who have had over 70 fights with less than 10 losses. Obviously juniors with a record like this will be installed at number 1 in their weight categories, in the event of any disagreements please contact Pete or myself privately to discuss, or if you believe your fighter could beat the number 1 issue a challenge and fight them.

The only way to climb up the rankings in each weight division is by beating someone above you.

Expect to see the rankings taking shape by the end of this week.

The first draft of the rankings has now been completed and will be added to the website within the next 24 hours, this 1st draft is only compiled from names we were given before our official launch date Friday 11 July so is obviously missing lots of great fighters. Since Friday we have received over 100 new names,

Remember these rankings are compiled in good faith based on the information YOU give us. If you don't agree with your position in the rankings or someone else's please email me, juniorrankings@hotmail.com

Just another reminder these rankings are non political and ultimately will feature the top junior talent from the UK and Ireland, regardless of what gym they are from or what sanctioned shows they fight on, please be patient Rome wasn't built in a day. If there are fighters you expect to see in the rankings who aren't it is because we don't have their details or weren't given them before the first update.

Firstly well done for taking such a task.

I personally hope that ALL gyms that move on ALL circuits get behind this as for if our kids do make it to no. 1 I would want to know that it's a fair reflection of the entire country.

from my personal experience there are many kids I know but there are couple that I've heard of but unfortunately not seen in competition as they have supported different events on similar dates for me this is a big area I hope to see improved.

I think even if people don't want to support a certain comp or show for their own personal reasons the task of sending in names for the rankings is surely good for everyone and will lead to more cross competition between different circuits which ultimately has to be good for improving standards.
