Hey, didn't see any threads on this.

I'm not overly familiar with Joanne Calderwood, but pretty sure I have seen that name crop up on these boards from time to time; would that be right?
It rings a bell from somewhere anyways.

Anyways, I do follow the Ultimate Fighter, so happened across an interview with Joanne on youtube, relative to the upcoming season.

Not normally a huge fan of womens mma, but always supporting upcoming european fighters on the big US scene, I checked out some of her fight vids.

Really impressive.

And what's more impressive is that apparently, this season of the Ultimate Fighter is effectively a tournament to crown the first straw weight womens champion, which could potentially mean that Joanne could be the first UFC champion coming from Europe.

Came across great in interviews, and fantastic thai boxing skills in the mma cage.
I wish her all the success for this season.

^^ I reckon it'll be a race between herself and Conor McGregor.

Although, based on the vids I've saw, I think it'd almost be fair to say she has some of the best thai boxing technique of almost any european in the UFC.
Them step in knees and elbows are things of beauty.

Just saw a short clip of the preliminary fights for this season, showing Joanne with them knees in full effect.

Apparently this is being a very highly touted season, the filming already having taken place I believe, and co-ordinators saying a host of excellent fights.

I think it says a lot for the UK/European thai boxing circuit, that we've had fighters produced on it, now transitioning to the biggest combat sports stage there is.

Will be watching this season with much anticipation.
