We could not be more excited to announce details of the first headline bout for The Tanko Main Event on 14th May 2016

ISKA World Championship - Reece Mcallister vs. Fabio Pinca

Having blasted his way through opponents in multiple weight divisions for the past 12 months, Reece Mcallister (Phoenix, County Durham) has an explosive fighting style and is one of the world’s most exciting fighters. Aged just 23, he already boasts more than 40 professional fights. Notable scalps include former World champion Tim Thomas and French star Crice Boussoukou - both of whom he stopped in emphatic fashion. One of the best talents the UK has ever produced, and still only relatively young, Reece Mcallister has all the attributes to fulfil his potential and become one of the greatest fighters on the planet.

Fabio Pinca (Ringside, France) is a multiple World title holder and regarded by many as the best non-Thai fighter of this generation. He boasts a plethora of high-profile wins in his 117 fight career, having shared the ring with a number of the world’s biggest names. He counts victories over Muay Thai legend Saenchai, Moroccan World champion Mosab Amrani, former WBC World champion Mehdi Zatout, and, more recently, a points wins over Malaipet Sasiprapa in America on his record.
A household name in the sport of Muay Thai, the name Fabio Pinca is recognised throughout the world. Having never fought in the UK before, he comes ready to entertain fans and maintain his status as the stand-out European welterweight.

A match of this calibre can only be complimented with one of the most prestigious championships in the world, and they don’t come more desirable than the ISKA World strap, which the winner will collect.

Tickets for The Tanko Main Event will be available from December - www.tankoevents.co.uk

Put on Crice boussoukou vs Jordan watson too! And Dean James vs a stadium ranked thai (Peteng Kiatphontip, Dejsakda sitsongpeenong or sarm-a) would be great, so would Daniel Mcgowan vs a stadium ranked thai (Palangphon, Rungnarai, Sprinter, Chaisiri or Jomhod eminentair), and of course Liam harrison vs Greg wotten!

Fight number 2

63kg - Panicos Yusuf (All Powers, Stockport) vs Kongsak Sitboonme (Thailand)

2 x World Muay Thai champion Panicos Yusuf is back at The Tanko Main Event 2016, and he’s set to face his toughest test ever. On May 14th, the All Powers athlete will square off against former Lumpini Stadium champion Kongsak Sitboonme - one of Thailand’s most decorated athletes of all time.
Panicos comes into this bout in sensational form having beaten numerous high calibre opponents along the way. One of Europe’s most technically gifted fighters, the Tanko Management athlete has put together a streak of more than 20 consecutive victories, including wins over WMC European champion Stephen Meleady, former Thai champion Rittijak Kaewsamrit and Dutch superstar Sergio WIelzen. A fan favourite boasting an impressive record of 35 wins from 39 contests, Panicos’s presence at The Tanko Main Event 2016 will be a hugely welcome one.

In the opposite corner on May 14th will be one of the most successful Muay Thai athletes of this generation. Twenty-five-year old Kongsak Sitboonme is a former 2-weight Lumpini Stadium champion and winner of the 2010 Sportswriter’s Boxer Of The Year award. A southpaw with devastating kicking ability, Kongsak has beaten some of the biggest names in Muay Thai during his career, including Nong-O and Petchboonchu and brings a record of over 200 contests to the stage. His appearance at The Tanko Main Event 2016 is something Muay Thai fans all across the country will relish.

Not only will it be the Thai’s first appearance on British soil, it’ll also be an occasion where he fights one of the very best in the West

We are delighted to confirm one of the UK's most exciting fighters, 2Technical's Paul Karpowicz, as the next addition to The Tanko Main Event card!

Fan Favourite Karpowicz is vastly experienced in Muay Thai, competing with great success from a very early age. Having fought on events around the globe, his slick, unorthodox fighting style has seen him become a much sought-after name in recent years and he holds wins over the likes of Phanuwat 'Coke' Chunhawat and John Dennis, among others.

Paul has featured no less than 4 times on our events since 2009 - his fight vs Darren O'connor at The Main Event in 2012 won the ISKA Fight Of The Year award - and we are delighted to, once again, welcome him to the stage!
His opponent is confirmed and will be released shortly

We are delighted to release the next confirmed bout for The Tanko Main Event:

Brad Stanton (Kiatphontip, Leeds) vs Charlie Peters (Double K, London)

These two top-ranked UK welterweights will clash in a mouth-watering matchup on May 14th

Aggressive southpaw Stanton burst onto the UK scene several years ago, destroying everyone he came up against in the early stages of his career. His explosive power has seen him collect a number of knockout wins and he boasts victories over the likes of Tommi Mccormick, Sam Omomogbe and Ricky Sewell. At The Main Event in 2014 he put on a stylish display en route to victory over Portuguese champion Federico Alfaro. After a 6-month period training and teaching in Australia he is keen to get back into the ring and has taken a very tough challenge in Charlie Peters.

Trained by British legend Kieran Keddle, Peters brings to the stage a record stacked with bouts against big names and has competed at the highest level under both Muay Thai and kickboxing rulesets. With vast experience of fighting on big events around the world, Peters has shared the ring with the likes of Jo Nattawut, Mark Skeer, Alex Bublea and, more recently, French star Fabio Pinca, to whom he dropped a points decision.
He currently occupies #2 in the UK 67kg rankings and will be looking to cement his position with a win over Stanton at The Tanko Main Event.

A domestic dust-up of epic proportions, this is a hugely exciting addition to an already world class fight card!

Tickets are selling quickly and are available at www.tankoevents.co.uk
