Kebab, sorry about the delay in answering you, I’ve not been near a computer all week. I felt that John won the fight fair and square and that’s why I’m appealing the decision. I realise that if the decision is over turned it’ll be a hard one for Jonathon to take but if the appeal goes our way John’s 1st defence will be against Jonathon.
I can’t answer your part of the post about how 3 judges could be wrong as I don’t want to taint the appeal process but if you e-mail me I’ll be happy to explain my thinking in private.
If you won a title fight you would want to be recognised by your peers for your achievement, wouldn’t you? Do you think that a proud young man such as Jonathon would want to be credited for something that is not rightfully his? No, neither do I, that said the appeal might go Jonathon’s way in which case we’ll have to take the decision on the chin and move on.
Regardless of how the appeal goes I think much respect has to go both Jonathon and John, as Michelle said they were and are a credit to both Alan Ferns and myself respectively.
