I spoke with Andy just after his fight and commented that I hadnt seen enough of what was shaping up to be an excellent fight to comment knowgeably. But that with what I saw of his performance he deserved to win. Deserving to win of course does not mean you did i wasnt a judge so i'll wait to see the dvd. But i will say its important that a judge can explain his reasons for any given decision and do so illustrating the why. In my opinion if you agree with dave or not is of no consequence. he has explained his thoughts and has many many years of experience and knowledge to support his ideas. open and frank exchange of ideas improve the sport.

Thought i would say and i think all who witnessed it will agree the french lad on many occasions looked to be breathing heavily and on the verge of physical collapse from exhaustion and then just spring back into action with controlled technique and attack.
