Liam R is correct, there are professional K-1 champions, with over 100 fights, (I spoke to one)fighting in that tournament. Most countries send their very best pro, or A-class fighters(and they fight in full gear). The USA is one of the only countries that sends true amateurs, with a majority of the team that have had as little as 2 and 3 fights.
