First impressions are everything in business and in personnel life. In so many situations in business you do not have time to get to know the person you are dealing with you judge the book by its cover we are all guilty of it and at times it pays off others then we live and die by our mistakes.

Image is everything to the media look at your average chav now put him in a suit what does he look like… a chav with a court appearance.

I have been in sales for 20 years, sales person, sales manager, sales director and I still have an idea of the candidate that turns up for a job interview the second I look at him. I refused to interview one lad once because he had dirty shoes he said he hadn’t had time to clean them before he left home for the interview. (Plank)

People by from people they like that is the most basic principle of selling and that’s what’s about to happen in any debate people will look at see what they see.
