I enjoyed that debate, well done Sandy Holt. In fact it's a shame it had didn't go on longer because the more you kept you cool, the more she was losing hers. She came across as bordering on hysterical.

The pediatrician's arguments about the risk of trauma seemed very extreme but obviously shouldn't dismissed off hand but can be countered.

I would argue that all energetic children like to play rough whether in sports or in the playground. Muay Thai training is one of the few occasions where that energy is chanelled, where the they are taught true control and where they actually do have any padding.
