Hello,
You all have certainly brought back some memories of the past.
I certainly was not of the calibre of you guys and you won\'t know
me,but I had a few fights. I trained under Phil Mayo back in the
early/mid eighties.
I see my Name, John Sanpat ( note the \'n\' is actaully a \'m\' in the
surname but Phil never got it right !! ), on the program in Aldridge.

Thanks Phil Glover for posting and I had to go and dig out some of
my old programs. I ought for the CKO featherwieight title against
Dave Jones in Swansea. I lost this bout. A rematach was to take place
at The Studio in Streatham London, in 1986. Was all ready for the fight
only for Dave to show up with his hand all bandaged up. Apparently Dave
had been in a street fight that week.

Well shortly after that I immigrated to Kitchener,Canada a small town
where KB was non exisistant. Some 20 years later I\'ve trained with several
clubs and although not with any club right now still train at home.
I now live in Toroonto.
I\'ll see if I can find some pics and post them.

So what is Phil Mayo doing these days. He was agreat guy and helped the
sport and me.If anyone is in touch with him pass on my regards or if you
have a contact e-mail that would be great.
Mine is chelseajohn@sympatico.ca

I do get back to the UK quite often. Would love to attend an event on
my next visit.
Thanks for the memories,
John.
