In the interests of clarity the International Kickboxing Federation (Europe) wishes to make public its decision to withdraw sanctioning of the forthcoming event on October 10th promoted by Marlon Hunt. This will not in anyway be an IKF event and any fighters appearing on it should be aware of this.

Mr Hunt has after months of hard work and negotiation withdrawn from a challenge for the IKF World Super-middleweight against John Orchard, a fighter generally considered to be pound for pound the best fighter in the country and a Champion that we at the IKF are very proud of. It is our opinion that he has acted in a manner that we feel is not in the best interests of the sport in general and more importantly has potentially harmed the career of John Orchard, whose career has been on hold whilst the many demands of Mr Hunt have been met.

With these and other factors involved in mind we feel that it will be in the best interests for all concerned if we withdraw our sanction for this event.
