Lets have it right!

Cant help keep reading these posts and excepting the different views and people sitting on the fence over this issue. My belief is that Marlon Hunt has been yet another fighter to bring the sport into disrepute. What ever way you try and dress this up, his lame excuse does not wash and he should honour his contract. Emails back and fourth agreeing purse, weight, title etc,etc to me is a contract and strengthened by him posting it here on ax.

I worked closely last year with the IKF, ISKA and GOLDEN BELT in trying to get some credibility back into the sport with all 3 organisations agreeing to suspend fighters, trainers and promoters who brought the sport into disrepute and glad to say that has worked well up until now. This behavior in such a high profile fight if allowed to be accepted will undo all the good and hard work done by many!

A fighter who broke his contract to fight for a British title on my Brighton show 18 months ago for the same reason as Marlon, that being he could get better money elsewhere, was suspended for a period of between 6 and 12 months by all of the above organisations. Surley this is far worse. Taking another fight for a better purse is not the same as having to pull out through injury.

Lets get it sorted out once and for all!
