Some trainers are good some are not - its not a general mindset. Muay Thai has to be used to beat Muay Thai you cant do something different and hope that it will result in a KO. There are a lot of different styles and tactics within Muay Thai. Every Thai fighter is different and employs different tactics to beat another - they dont all fight the same way. This includes the actual techniques used, how they pace the fight, the footwork that they use and much more.

Understanding this is the key not just copying what you see on TV or at a stadium. It has nothing to do with trying to be like the Thais.

None of the fighers that lost on saturday did so because they were trying to be like a Thai, they lost for many different reasons that you cant generalise.

I agree that we cant all punch like Anuwat or Kick like Sanchai but each fighter has his own strengths to develop.
