Lee - you are right but your Dad and Dekkers didn't have one strategy that they akways used to when they fought a Thai they used the tactics that they needed to fight the person in front of them whether they were Thai or not.

Sometimes that strategy and their own style and skills worked, sometimes it didn't. They still used Muay Thai style and techniques.

Real understanding of MT has onky come in the UK recenyly and look at the growth in the standard or fighters and promotions in that short time. Give it a few years and I think it will get even better as the depth of experience that we have increases.

I agree with what you say about fighters increasing their exriencce on the amateur circuit to a certain extent but so far in the UK there hasn't really been a fully developed amateur circuit and no funding. Countries like Belarus have government backing and funding so can send their fighters all over the world. And guess where they go ..... Thailand!
