First and foremost, thank you to both Dave and Lee Whitfield alongside the Unleashed team behind the scenes for having the USKA team down once again and for putting on another tremendous show.

Also thank you to the IKF and it's team of officials for firstly affording my fighters the opportunity's to contest it's titles and secondly and most importantly keeping all my fighters safe inside the ring with it's safety first professional approach to the sport.

A few points I would like to address that have been made in this thread..............

Have to firstly though congratulate Ronnie on a very good fight and respect to both him and Lex for bringing something new to the table. I thought Ronnie showed more dimensions to his game than I have seen before that saw Qasim have to remain 100% focused throughout in order to stay ahead and stay out of trouble.
The history between Ronnie and Qas and Indeed Ronnie and Myself is no secret to most and I would like to take this opportunity publicly now to draw a line under the nonsense and move forward positively and respectfully.
Really nice touch at the end with the Microphone Ronnie, that showed true class.
Ronnie is a great fighter, make no mistake. It will take a very slick focused fighter at 60kg to beat him.

Ok, now that's done back to some of the points raised.

Firstly the fans thing, I'll be honest, I didn't notice any disrespect from the Scottish fans just passionate loyal support. I did however see and hear disrespectful comments from the English fans and gestures being made to the Scottish supporters that sickened me to the stomach. The people responsible should be ashamed of themselves and maybe look at supporting football instead of a noble art like kickboxing where they might not be so out of place. Muppets!
I feel indirectly responsible and apologise unreservedly for any offence that may have been caused.

In regard to the use of the head and the way Referee Wayne Rodrigues dealt with the head clashes.
The thing you have to remember is when a Southpaw and an Orthodox fighter meets these things are known to happen.
The first use of the head in the third round IN MY OPINION came from Ronnie. We're not complaining, it's a rough and tough fight after all. Qas knows how to fight inside and Ronnie was the one who unfortunately picked up the injury to his eye. Wayne again IN MY OPINION could see that it was both fighters equally responsible for the clashes and therefore was issuing quiet private warnings to both fighters to watch the head. It would have been unfair to deduct either fighters a point for something that wasn't deliberate and just down to styles. Qas received a nasty cut to the back of his head in the first fight down again to styles. No complaints, just the way it is.

Scoring of the bout. I had it similar to Mr Perks on the night and my feeling was confirmed on review of the film. I'll be honest, I think it's unfair to release the scores how they would have been without the point deductions due to not making kick count as it creates the impression that the fight was scored closer than it actually was. It would be like saying well if he didn't get knocked down 5 times he would have won.
I had like I said Qas ahead by 3/4 rounds and that's before the deductions, where does that leave us on points? Certainly not close. That's not a slight on Ronnie's performance by the way because I thought every round was closely contested.

In regard to a Rematch, again no disrespect intended but there is nothing in it for us, surely you can see that. Two fights, two wins and I'm happy that there was no controversy involved. Ronnie admitted defeat first time around although claimed he would have liked more time to get ready and again conceded defeat on the Mic on Saturday even before the result was announced. I am happy for Qas to fight in Scotland if terms can be met and his fight diary permits but don't think a third fight with Ronnie has any legs.
Qas keeps getting threatened by Mr Title Taker Allen lol, maybe that will be the big fight on the cards in Scotland for him in a few years time lol
Qas does fight on the road, In fact out of his now 13 Professional Kickboxing bouts only 2 have been in his home tow of Birmingham. He'll fight ANYWHERE if terms are good.

There is absolutely NO basis to accuse Wayne Rodrigues of being bias. He is a good referee and a fair man.
He is firm and fair. On a few occasions on Saturday my fighters were reprimanded by him in regard to rule infringements and they were met by me with no complaint.
Even the best referee in the World on occasion will make a bum call, an early stoppage, a late stoppage even but that and being bias are completely two different things. Wayne for my money is one of he best out there and a credit to the IKF officials team. By the way, just in case people are wondering, he has in fact only ever refereed my fighters to my knowledge on two shows.

David, come on dude, were you even watching the fight?
You claim Qas never threw anything in round 1 never mind the minimum 8 kicks??
Seriously, watch the tape, It was I admit a quiet round for Qas, a feeling out round but he did throw 12 kicks. It is on the film for everyone to see. Don't make it sound like your man was robbed without a mask.
I understand you are a die hard Ronnie fan and I respect that but he's not making excuses for himself please don't try and make excuses for him that don't even exist. I'm not having a pop here just don't want things to get silly again.

Can I just also make it clear that this was NOT a home show for Qasim. Dave Whitfield will confirm this but I have no say or anything to do with the promotion of the UNLEASHED events. The only connection is the fact that I am Lee Whitfield's manager and trainer and Lee as everyone knows is the co-promoter of the event.
My only input regarding the event is in negotiations with Dave on who my fighters will fight and the terms surrounding that fight. The Telford International Centre is at least 50 minutes drive away from my gym.
One of my lads fought for a Midland Title on the night and stopped opponent in the fifth round. The other lads coach said to me ' I didn't think it should have been stopped, maybe it's because your lad is the home fighter'. WTF, How's my lad the home fighter? His lad was from Birmingham too and probably lives and trains closer to Telford than my kid.

All that said. We had a good night. A Midland Area Featherweight title win by 5th round stoppage for Azad Khan. A Career best 4th round stoppage 5 Nations title defence for Chantelle Cameron over Danielle Kudmany and a Unanimous decision win for Qas over Ronnie to lift the British Lightweight Belt.
Didn't think it was vintage Qas but saying that thought Qas stayed focus, stuck to the game plan and fought an intelligent fight albeit not a flash one. We're very happy with the outcome.
Ronnie is not the kind of guy you want to take unnecessary chances with, he's no mug.
Something like nearly 30 fights 1, loss (to Qas) and 1 draw (to Ricky Glover) going into this fight.
With all sincerity....... The very best of luck to you in the future mate.
