as said above by david eckersley my feeling is the same you get to know each other without calling combinations the pads are just there when you throw the technique, you know what is expected from each other…

as for pad men ~
Mr Daeng ace pad man nice fella & cos he was a short arse like me.
Chanoy technically perfect.
Kin was ace, fast sharp made you think loads.
Duwao i never had pads off but sparred with (enuf said about that i was embarresed by him LOL)
Dave Jackson great pad man stops and corrects things dead technical especially footwork\base\kicking. Liam Harrison got pads of him leading up to my last fight, don't know why but i was shocked after how good he was, probably because i normally spar and train with him rather than pads.
G.Master Sken had great pads back in the day of him when i first started out.
