I dont fight, nor have years and years experience, but do watch a fair few shows. In my opinion Liam beating Saenchai would have been a scalp for Liam, of course it would the guy is regarded the best of the best.

Lets not forget though that Liam himself is highly regarded in Thailand, and if Saenchai could have had a chance of a knockout surely would have taken it to prove not only hes best in Thailand, but also can knock out the uk's finest. The fact Saenchai fought for a points win suggests he wasnt sure/knew he wouldnt get the knockout and thought if I can take it on points why get myself smashed up with somebody whos not scared to stand and fight.

Again my opinion only but Muay Thai at the level Liam and Saenchai are at is like chess, one wrong move and your fooked! Its clear from that video upload that the opponent was not anywhere near Saenchai or Liams level. Reading posts that have got personal isnt right, I can see however that lovers of this sport are concerned that one day someone will get badly hurt/killed and then what happens?

Saenchai to retire with that as his lasting memeory? Boxing has plenty of sad stories and these are from quite well matched fights! Saenchai's match, had anything happened would have caused uproar and set this sport way back. Anyway essay over, best of luck to anybody who fights.
