The purpose of this form is to allow users to assist the moderation in maintaining the forum by reporting posts that are breaking the rules. You should only report posts that appear to be breaking one of the forum rules. This feature should NOT be abused. If we feel someone is abusing this feature, we will moderate their account accordingly.

Exactly!

K-1 is a style of Kickboxing.

If someone chooses to call it K-1 ( niche ) or to call it Kickboxing ( generic ), neither would be incorrect.

What is incorrect is to say that K-1 is not Kickboxing, or regarded as such by mainstream media and audiences.

This was only brought up on this thread, as it backs up a position I was FORCED to defend on another thread. Of course the quote by the Chief Executive Officer for K-1 Global does this perfectly ( thanks Doug ).

There will always be those with their own differing opinion - despite what is shown and explained to them.

K-1 style Kickboxing, "K-1 ( Niche )" or "Kickboxing ( Generic )" depending on your choice of words to describe the sport.. - may yet become the global alternative to M.M.A. alongside Boxing.

We will see.
