live and let live! we train hard but enjoy ourselves too! if people are fighting they dont touch alcohol for 8 weeks pre-fight, but any other time they can do what they like and we would never presume to tell them any different or tell them how they are allowed to spend their time! during fight training they know whats required, but thats as far as it goes! when people are fighting 3, 4 or more times a year with a good 7-8 weeks training before hand (sometimes more) thats a pretty big chunk out of each year spent pushing their bodies to the limit.

being a fighter f**ks with fighters lives! it can ruin relationships and put huge stress on friendships etc. not everyone wants to have a relationship with someone who literally has to give up their life for 2 months at a time, who cant go out for food or go out for a drink on a whim, who is moody as hell whilst dieting and inadvertantly taking it out on everyone around them!

so yeah, they should be able to live their lives a little bit in between and for some that will be getting drunk with their pals/partners, for some it might be different things!
