Well this time last night our best show to date was coming to an end… and what a show it was.
It is such a long journey in the run up to show like this that after the lights go out at the end of the evening it takes a while to readjust and slip back into a normal routine, and that is why this post comes at such an hour.
There is a lot of hard work that goes into shows at this level, and though very rewarding in so many ways, they do not just happen – they are the result of lots and lots of hard work, and cost so much in terms of time, stress and personal sacrifice.
For this reason, we’d like to take our hats off to Brizo Calder from SuperShowDown and Phil and Daz from The Main Event. Please show your appreciation for these two veteran organizations in October and November respectively.
Last night’s show was such an overwhelming success on so many levels, that we’d be here all night listing all of the things about it that we are most proud of. And in the same way that there is not the time to list all of the things we are proud of about Smash 10, there also isn’t the time to list all of the people that we owe thanks to.
But we feel that there are a few things that cannot go without mention.
We would obviously give our deepest thanks to all of the fighters on our show, (each and every one of you are absolute stars in our eyes), and of course all of the coaches and corners.
We’d like to thank the WBC Muaythai, Goldenbelt, WKA, and the IBMTO, without all of these this show would not have been possible.
We’d like to thank our medical staff, who were looked after the fighters to the highest degree of professionalism.
And we would like to thank the brilliant Masie Emerson and Richard Vince from MA Action for realizing our vision for this production.
We cannot give thanks enough to all of the people that we have come to think as the Smash team. Vinny Shoreman, Danny Kendrick, Kyle Fontaine
We also owe an enormous thanks to the people who turn up and keep the wheels turning once they are in motion. To such people are David Knowles and Peter Spensley.
As well as the above, we would also like to thank the people who are and always have been, part of the Smash family, Freddie Lumor, Lyndon Knowles, Katie Rishover, Sasha Class, Greg Harwood Jenkins, Levi Bailey, Clare Hill, Carly Louise Fountain, James Mc Laughlin, Max Van Morrison, Jack Bowers, Reynan Oliver R S, Geoff Ironchefcoach Stratton, Victoria ModelsFor and everyone else who so generously invests their time and enthusiasm into our shows. We really could not do it without you.
And a big thanks to our special guests, Jade Elizabeth Morris, and King Tate.
There are of course a few people who deserve a special mention for their outstanding contribution to the show.
Frankie Hudders and Chris Whittle.
Mike El Codo Egan, Ste Foy, Vicky Church, Sophie Gallagher, Daniel Bowie, Joe Craven, Leyton Collymore-Carr, Danny Horton, Kai Laithwaite, Alex Bublea and Jack Maguire.
But of course, enormous thanks are due to Mohamed Bouchareb and Mehdi Zatout.
But our thanks and heartfelt congratulations go to our two new british WBC World Champions, Andy Howson and his cousin, Liam Harrison. Absolutely priceless.
But our biggest thanks go out to you all who turned up and showed your support once again. We could not do it without you all.
Thank you all. We hope you enjoyed the show that marked the end of our second year, and the beginning of year three.
