Hi everyone

Well Kelly Seif did it again... what a corker of a show.

Daniel Dawson was at his supreme best... I have never seen Dawson look THIS good... the guy was on the money all night and, sorry for the language, but he has developed some "cunt" in his fighting and has this definable mean streak in him now in which he just hurts guys. It was a thrill to watch.

Chopper vs Allan was one of the year's best slugouts - Chopper looked good to start then in the second Allan lands a left hook that grounds the Chopper - Oh My God, Shock!!

Anyway, for all money Chopper is gone but then in the third Chopper comes back and almost KO's Allan. I had the fight as a draw and would have given an extension round (10-10, 10-8, 8-10) but the judges gave the first round 10-9 to Allan and that's what made the difference.

Allan was banged up for the final but did well. In the fifth he caught a rib shot and just couldn't soldier on... but he won over the crowd with his gutsiness and he won over his girlfriend who he PROPOSED TO after the show (Fox Sports taped this so you will all see it... teary eyes)

His KO of Darren Reece was in 9 seconds!! I think that may be a record - double left hook to the head and Reece was grounded for a few minutes.

Anyway, great show, dont miss it when it comes on Fox.

THE SCHIAVELLO REPORT CARD

1. Daniel Dawson (10/10)
A flawless performance from a fighter who is looking unbelievable.

2. Jeremy Allan (8/10)
A real freak show who, if he would have been a bit smarter in the 3rd against Chopper, could have won the fight and lessened the toll on his body.

3. Shane Chapman (8/10)
Nothing bad about the Chopper... he was awesome as usual and it was just that ONE shot by Allan that rattled him.

4. Warren Elson (7/10)
Making a comeback after 18 months is not easy... in his first fight against Dixon he looked the goods, but got caught with knees and maybe a busted rib in the semi... Elson is back folks.

5. Aleksei PErkachyk (7/10)
Yes, the man who fatefully had that last fight against Chatchai.. a little Belarussian powerhouse with slapping kicks... would like to see more of him in Oz... hey Zambidis, try this guy on for size??

6. Aaron Dixon (6.5/10)
There is nothing holy about 'The Altar Boy'... good set of hands, just needs some more grunt

7. Prince Hamid Boujoub (6.5/10)
I was impressed... in the first round he took it up to Dawson and even stunned him with some excellent spinning kick displays... another man I'd like to see more of under kickboxing rules.

8. Darren Reece (no score)
Didnt have time to do anything. Unfortunatelt it was all over for the Riddler after only 9 seconds... but after such a long lay off it was always going to be hard... good luck Darren, hope to see you back in the ring soon mate.

Undercard

Nick Kara (7/10)
Solid if unsensational performance from Kara who is having a stellar year. Was set to fight Daniel Tai but due to unforseen circumstances took on Walker on short notice... Kara had chances to pound him but didnt take them.

Chad Walker (7/10)
Played in clever for five rounds moving laterally around the ring to prevent Kara bundling him in the corner... smart kid, only 19, big future.

Judgement Day (10/10)
Continues to be the best middleweight tourney in Australasia... Kelly Seif is just like a McCain's frozen dinner - you've done it again!
