I have never judged but i have attended the course run by Tony.
It is my understanding that the stars do not count towards the score but are a reminder the judge that a fighter was slightly stronger in the round but not enough to score a full point difference. The star is like keeping notes and will be taken into consideration when scoring the later rounds. The star should not be counted in the addition of a fighters score as the judge should have factored it in before the end of the fight.

I am posting this as i would like to know if my understanding is wrong? please can Tony or another qualified Judge let me know ?
