Interesting to see Lemy doing MMA now. Good to see Willie back in the ring too, what weight is that fight at?

Nato always puts on a good show too. Should be a good night of fights.

leroy is my boy richy, he has had about 12 fights now and has been fighting in queensland and sydney for his last few fights. He normally fights at 66kg but is stepping up to 68kg for this one.
Really looking forward to nato vs ants for the titles.I have heard great things about ants lately and nato is in great form from his last few wars with ra jonathon and brice baron.Leamy is hanging out to fight as well.
I love bringing the boys to auckland to check out the scene up there,

Sounds like a wicked night! All the best to Nato and Leamy, It's good to see fighters from the lower north island on the Auckland fight cards. Im kinda gutted we don't have anyone fighting, was looking foward to payback on the motel scene after Young Blood One. But we'll get you Rex. You wait. Haha

Cheers for that info Rex, I look forward to seeing him in action, sounds like he has some good experience behind him. Antz has gone from strength to strength so that will be a good fight too. Catch up with you at the fights Rex, good luck to your guys preparing, its gonna be a good night.

Leroy vs Steve. Is this Steve's first fight back since tearing his hammy? Didn't know he fought at 68kg, is this his new fight weight?

Guessing the titles will be full thai rules, will this fight be one also?
Rex Rumble
Posted: 2008-05-12 17:11:02
leroy normally fights full thai now but this one is mod thai as steve not keen on elbows apparently.natos is full thai rules and leamys is full thai plus some optional ground work he he he

Really looking forward to this one - the last Strikeforce show we went to really went off!

Sam vs Leamy should be a good stouch and I always enjoy watching Willie fight. I saw Nato fight a couple of time when I was working in Welly and that should be a good one too.

We will be selling brawla gear at the event and will have some big specials as part of our stock clearance before our new gear comes in. Big reductions on last years hoodies and some of our older t-shirt designs so come and see us there.

Ok as usual with fight cards a few fights have changed. Carmen an illy is now posponed till July, Antz and Nato is also posponed till later date, Antz took fight on short notice and wont make title fight weight, and Nato only wants to do 5 rounds so this may happen in the future. Antz Nansen will now be fighting Kaota Puna. Harris Ishikawa will be fighting Jonny 'Hurricane' Clapperton. Both fighters underfeated with hard an fast styles.

Thank you heaps Aaron for looking after us, from the moment we arrived till the very end when the last beer had been drunk. I think you may have to get a bigger venue if you intend to put fights on that are as well matched as this one was!!!

I missed out on seeing most of the fights, but am looking forward to seeing it on Combat videos DVDs...(just a small plug for "Big Tony" who does an outstanding job filming and commentating these figthts :-)

"A heavier than usual Mel Prior"... Hey, Boa, take it easy, this is the kid's normal weight!:):) We dont want to end up with a little anorexic Mel, dont we? By the way I think that Mel is looking good now, and beside "process called growth" he is generating a sht load of muscled lately.:)

Yeah Harris deserved AM fighter of the night, very dynamic and his opponent was no push over, it was evenly contested till the third when Harris exploded with a beautiful leaping right hand and then followed up with a second 8 count.
