Paulo Tocha, "Paco" from Bloodsport will be holding seminars at Sukhothai Gym Bournemouth on the 26th & 27th July 2008 - 1pm and 4pm - £35 per person.

These seminars will focus on Traditional Power Muay Thai techniques, as well as being a successful Fighter Pualo has trained many champions including Malaipet and Coban.

Being Based in LA he also now trains MMA fighters in their striking to avoid takedowns etc.

Paulo is also Ref and Judge for WBC and recently judged the Jamacia show.

PAULO TOCHA, the original and only foreigner to be allowed to fight and teach under Sor.thanikul's name, - nicknamed "LEMB" in 1985 after becoming the first Westerner to fight and win in China.

Tocha is now a trainer and advisor of many champions, both Thai and foreigners and is the first and most respected and authorized Sor.thanikul representative in California, USA, and the world , his experience as a former fighter for Sor.thanikul in Bangkok, Thailand and Internationally, allows him to travel Internationally as a Muaythai spokesman.

Tocha has worked as a technical advisor in Hollywood for major studios in film, television and many independant film companies. He continues to contribute as a writer to various martial arts publications.

As a Hollywood actor, Tocha continues his career with a extensive resume, in both Film and TV, (having worked with 5 Oscar winners), as well as a New York Film Festival Award in 1999, and various awards related to Muaythai.

Presently, Paulo is considered as one of the most knowledgble ambassadors and voices to Muaythai worldwide by the Thai Authorities. Paulo is called by the Thai Muaythai Nation, "A serious power trainer with great technical skills, the heart, passion and soul of the muaythai warrior."

You lucky buggers! Paco is one of my favourite film characters of all time and played a bit of a part in getting me into MT in the first place!

Wonder if he will be coming up North?

Yes I think everyone remembers him for Paco! Paulo is coming over as Sukhothai's guest not travelling around doing seminars - he will be based in Bournemouth for 3 weeks to help Denise prepare for a fight in Bangkok in August -

Yes Phil - I have now spent the last 3 days with Paulo and his Muay Thai is real and strong. I cannot put it in to words here but those of you doing the seminars will understand - 100% real deal!

For those of you know the significance of Paulo being on the cover of this magazine (the first Westerner to be on it I think?) here is a great Picture! Paulo has been kind enough to bring some great articles with him and I will scan and put on here for those of you thinking of the seminar this weekend -

Hey Lorne. Looks like a great seminar!

That Thai magazine cover sparked a distant memory - not sure Paulo was the first westerner on it? The odd looking bloke in the corner (wearing a tat2 style shirt) is me, back in 99!
