I'm pretty sure it's supposed to say "Scottish Fighter".

It could be "Scotty Fighter". It's dificult to exactly translate some English sounds into Thai.

I definately can't see Siam in there anywhere.

hi
stewart i think thats the best tatoo i have seen (ive been in the army and prison!!) its brilliant mate, i love it!!
i had this "BEAUTY" ha ha !! done when i was sponsering a camp in north thailand!!!!
we were not gambling but we always donated money to a local temple when we held shows or had fighters in big matches etc
one day the local monk decided i had earned the right to have this tatoo done............ by hand n bamboo method..... in his remote hermit cave!!!!
i know it dont look great and it hurt like hell.... not the tattoo but they kneeling on a stone floor for hours praying!!!!!
i was told it will prevent me from illness n injury providing i dont eat beef (it gets worse) any way i have never had an injury since.... who knows.
thats my story anyway
its suppose to depict the buddhist 9 fold path.
cheers

Do the bamboo tattoo's have a more "embossed" appeal to them?
They seem to be more raised up than the normal tattoo's.

Noi,
When mine was first done it felt like brail, lol.
After a week or so, it went back down to normal.

Chris is bang on, faster healing, no bleeding and no scarring.

Noi, if ever you were to get a tattoo, I'd recommend bamboo (what with how easily you cut 'n all, lol :)

:) Slur? :)

Nice one.

Dont think its really for me....but I suppose if I was to get one, then this would be my choice. As people have said, I think it tends to mean more to the individual if theres a story behind it....rather than picking "number 72" design off the wall at the local tattoo shop.

I have had enough "bodily markings" from experiences in Thailand. :)

Dont they suggest getting there early in the day to try and be first in the que, and therefore first with the needle (that day)?
Or is this just a scare story for "hygene-obsessed" westerners?
cannaebebotheredtraining
Posted: 2008-09-23 04:44:46
What makes you think they use new needles every day, lol.

My needles came out of a sealed packet, were dipped in alcohol and then burned. Don't know why he used the alcohol and burning from a new packet, maybe just to put my mind at rest.

Half way through thai dragon, flying in and out of clouds over thai boat, buddhas face on the inside of my bicep. Dragon goes onto my chest and over my shoulder onto my back, (really painful the other day getting my shoulder blade done) about 3hrs to go on that to get the colour in the dragon. On the other arm ive got koi fish on the shoulder to elbow and lotus flower with crown above with my kids & fiancée's name around it on the inside, not finished yet tho………………………wish it was! LOL

Some of our Muay thai club got thai tattoos at a temple Leonard took us to in July this year. They are all slightly different for different things. It was an experience with the whole ceremony and I am a big sooky-lala so it was a bit scary! These pics were taken just after the tattoo was finished so they look much better now, but you'll get the idea.
