Must be some one who wants to have the best female uk thaiboxer on the show???

Just missed Reebok show May 15th. How about MSA show at Excel? Bad Company show?

Is Backsteet Brawler doing another great show this year?

Didnt necessary mean Julie v Claire. I can think of other girls Julie's weight who are based up north who may fancy it+could have gone on Bad Co. Just thinking the dates are good since Bad Co show in early June.

i just thought it was great to have someone who is now living in england and challenging the best female muaythai fighter britain has got.
the usual excuses i get is flight costs, but thats now not a problem as claire lives here.
if julie can make make 61.5kg,then how about bernice? she fought at 59kg recently. julie gave away nearly 3kg to natalie fuz on my show last year and won by being stronger and at a weight above, whats the difference.

germaine would also be a great ftr fight for us.

i think claire hague can sell loads of tickets in london anyway and is up for ftr, surely julie should now be at the stage that promoters know people will buy tickets to see her throughout the country just the same as when liam fought sanchai in london.people want to see the best or am i going to get the sexist response again?

julie is booked up from end of may for the rest of the year abroad so we are not crying out for fights,i just thought it would be great to fight in our own country for a change seeming that britain is now offering massive shows with big budgets to bring the best of muaythai fighters to move the sport forward????

Bernise Alldis already has an international opponent for the Excel show and the card is pretty much done we are just waiting on contracts.

We were interested in the julie kitchen vs claire haigh bout and were in initial talks with both parties before Christmas. However Julie already had a fight confirmed for May 9 and we have a policy of
no fights up to 4 weeks before an event so that stopped it happening.

Hopefully this fight can happen on a future event.

If you need a fight for Julie before then Nathan I can put her in Holland in April agaInst Orintze Van Der Zee who recently beat Jorina Baars

Sorry Nathan if I never communicated that properly at the time...

hi dan,i understand your policy with julie fighting on may 9th,
but im sure the whole world will agree that julie simply does not pull out of fights regardless of injury or illness and mostly fights around 10x per year which wouldnt give her the chance to have that much rest, the last time she fought claire she had a massive injury from fighting just 10 days before in italy and could barely kick on her right leg,yet still fought and paid to get to thailand.were taliking 3 weeks here, julie will be fine and ready to take on claire hague.
how many fighters have pulled out of legends shows on the week of the event?ive seen fighters pull out of fights in the changing rooms before on massive london shows including kk but you still have him on your shows
julie would not do that, she is the most dedicated fighter on the planet, there are no flights and no titles for this fight, just decent purses to have the best female fighter to represent britain so what is there to lose.i will pay you £500 if julie dosent show for the event.you have my word
nathan touchgloves

no offence to kk on my last post, but it has happened from lots of top fighters.

speak to any promoter that has promoted julie or any of my fighters and touchgloves have always been on time and on weight at every show.
i know the msa shows have their favorites but these shows are being portrayed as having the best fighters from england to represent their country, why should the london girls always get the publicity and credit to the sport when julie has had 48 fights, achieved more and will happily fight ftr against anyone in the world.?

julie and germaine mailed each other yesterday, germaine has stopped muaythai and is looking to concentrate on mma for a while,if she returns to muaythai, julie will get first shout at a rematch.
we wish germaine all the best.
how much is the orinta fight worth to us? another low purse,no full rules and julie with everything to lose in holland.
the msa shows can offer skysports recognition and has the budget to supply decent purses.how many times has julie helped out on shows when she was upcoming.i thought the top english promoters would be delighted to have julie on,am i so wrong in wanting to know why not?

In my opinion I don't think you can compare the top female fighters to the top male fighters, there is less interest in them.

This is not being sexist it's just a fact.

It's not just Muay Thai either it's pretty much all sports

I think you gotta look at it from another angle.

In the last month alone there have been 2 programmes following female fighters:

Storyville : Cage Fighting Women

Ambrene : The Girl Boxer

Shown on Channel 4 - there have been NO such programmes following ANY Male fighters have there?

Your right in the fact that when it comes to the sport Muay Thai following male fighters will always dominate viewings and so money. But when you open it up to the population as a whole (A much bigger number of people) you will find that the majority would rather see the life of a female and how she fights?

I may be wrong - but just my thinking. I have taken Denise to Thailand, USA and all round Europe fighting and many times just for the travel costs - but hey what a thrill and what a life!
JD

You may be right Lorne but when it comes to paying punters people want to see men fight

Yes - I agree totally Justin. Just that if you hit it right paying TV channels actually generate more revenue than paying punters - especially if you then get the right advertising / sponsorship in the background as you know its on TV.

On my shows for example I sell more tickets to 2 local guys doing a first time boxing only bout than I do for Denise fighting Internationally!!! But I think that I would have a better shot of producing a TV show by using her footage rather than that of 2 unfit guys having a slug fest!!!

Denise is in the trailer below:

Now I know thers also good guys on that card but think that Denise adds a good female insight?
