Hamstring injuries

a girl i train with hurt her hamstring (we think)while stretching, causing her throbbing pains all the way up the back of the leg and through the glutes. Does anyone know any specific exercises or stretches she should do or anything she should really avoid?
Thanks
Barney

Avoid stretching it for now.
Let it heal first.
Maybe she should take a rest until it heals.
At least maybe stay away from high kicks until it heals.
Then be sure to warm up well before training.
After it heals be sure to light stretch after training.
Is the pain all from the butt to the knee or all the way to the heel and achiles?
Gotta be careful for that achiles tendon.
I know of a girl that snapped her achiles tendon throwing high kicks.

I wouldn't guess it was while stretching.

Stretching an injured area generally isn't good.

I'm not too sure but it could be some nerve involvement if the pain is travelling.

I think Barney is on the right track-let it heal.

Where does she feel the painexactly and finnish and when does she feel it?

Pain means don't do it!!!!!! as a general rule.

No pain no gain is such bs and will only serve to tear your body apart. IMO

Oh getting a proffessional opinion (not just any prof) would be wise.
