After talks this morning with Andy Burtons Trainer Michael Johnson.
Andy Burton will fight for the WFK World Pro Fullcontact Title in Lecce Italy.
It has been agreed that Englands best fighter at 64.5 kgs. Andy Burton. Will travel to Leece Southern Italy later this year,Andy will fight Diego Bianco who hales from leece southern Italy for the vacant WFK Pro World full contact Title.
Pro Contracts will be signed at the WFK / EFK open meeting being held by Grand Master Goff, on Saturday June 30th at 12/30 pm.The signing of the contracts will be filmed by the TV Network that is filming Grand Master Goffs World Title show that same evening.

Diego Bianco lost on a very close decision.one judge Dean Sugden giveing the fight to Diego and the other two to shawn by 1 piont each,
Andy Burton is now no 1 so he gets the shot at the title.

no disrepect to either yourself or to Diego but off the back of a loss in a European title fight, how does Diego qualify to fight for a world title?

Don't get me wrong, I saw the fight and Diego is definitely a decent fighter, but its not very often in sports you see a runner up of a European title get the chance to then fight for a world title.

Feel free to shoot me down in flames but just my honest observational opinion, and not a dig in any way!

Good Piont mate, As Diegos fight was so close with shawn and as you know it was razor close, As the World Title is a vacant Title The WFK gave Diego the chance to fight for the world title, but first he had to beat the next in line for the shot,This he did in style by ko,So he gets the title fight.
Andy Burton gets to fight for the world title as he is the best we have in this country,he has beaten shawn twice,So is now no 1 also in colin paynes rankings.
So there you have it.you could argue pionts all day,about other fighters due they qualify to fight for comonwealth or world titles,as seen on some shows.We WFK believe this fight is justified Andy Burton is no 1 in England and Diego Bianco has had to fight off for the chance to fight Andy and has done this in style so he now fights Andy.

We will be takeing 2 boxers to this show in Italy also,And 2 other UK kickboxers to fight.

As for who we take it has not yet been finalized, concerning the boxers and the kickboxers,we have had several promoters contact us Kash gill and his best fighters, locky , and others ,
The WFK UK Fight commision will decide and notify the trainers when we decide,

Yes of course you are one of our top fighters in the UK many would say number 1. Trainers and fighters as has been stated before only have to get in contact with us, Dean Sugden Vice President, Grand Master Goff or myself.Its up to your trainer to go through the usual channels, ie get in touch and see what we have to offer.
The door is always open to all no polotics just fight.

Thats not up to me, Your Trainer needs to send me your cv and a DVD of your fights this i then send to the WFK World HQ Fight Commision, They then look at it and decide If, and who you will fight , and for what title, and where.
So you have to go through the official channels,its all done very profesionaly, if you check out our WFK Website you will see thats how they work.Very Profesional.No one person can make decisions,

Andy burton has proved he is no 1 and is ranked so also in the independant rankings.So he gets the shot at the title with Diego,What happens after that is down to the fight commision,WFK is world wide so other countrys will want a slice of the 64.5 kgs title cake as it were,so i have no say in who fights who after this fight in Italy.

Surely if someone wants to fight for the world title they would have to beat me first as i am european champion?? I am Happy to defend it on any EFK show providing i can fit it in my schedule??

I for one do not see Diego as i beat him for my european, on seeing the dvd i would say fairly comfortably, but thats just the way i saw it, if any1 wants the dvd please let me know andi will run off a copy for free.

I thought the reason why Steven could not fight for a European on our last show was because he was British champion, so how can people now be fighting for world titles when they have not beaten me for my european??

Not saying that they do not deserve a shot on ability, but i am a little confussed as to why just because i couldnt fight in October (schedule booked for then) that i am now being by-passed??

Shawn Your fight with diego was close enough for dean sugden to give it to diego and the other two judges to you by one piont,
you can argue the piont how close was it by watching dvds all you want i was ringside and i have been in the game for 35 years and been involved with top class world title fights.My own fighters and others ,And i didnt know who won the fight it was that close.
You and diego are top class fighters and worthy to fight for a top title not like some mismatches.

Hi Dell thanks for the response, I have no problems with the scoring and your right it was close, but i felt i had won by a few rounds on the night and even more when watching the dvd, who scored what to who isn't really a concern of mine as it was a great fight.

My issue is how does he now earn a world title shot??
