OK I assume the great Ax Website either does not know Steve Wakeling or cannot be assed to give up some info!

Yes still fighting on 8th
December, is under K1 rules no clinch or elbows, not really my thing,
but
the money is good for the winner. Stekos shows are really good and he
puts
you up in four star hotels. The shows are filmed by a couple of Tv
channels will try to find out which ones. Respect and good luck to all
fighters. Steve

Sorry Liam & Herrcutt, Steve did ask me to post this as soon as you
posted
but for some reason ax froze me out.

any1 know the opponent and title?
HerrCutt
Posted: 2007-12-10 09:34:22
The fights where in a K1 type of format called "Kings of Kickboxing"

The title was WKA Weltmeister k-1 - I think in Super - Middleweight.

and I think the opponent in the final was a French Guy called Yohan Lidon.

Just like to say a big thank you to HerrCutt for coming to the show and supporting Steve. Nice to meet you.

Yes Liam R the crown is nice, but it was alot nicer receiving 10,000 euros for winning the crown and belt was a bonus on top.

Also like to say well done to Steve going over to Germany 15th September this year and winning a four man tournament under K1 rules and adapting a completely different set of rules and coming of winning, and going back a few weeks later in a eight man tournament to win. And with 10,000 euros at stake theses fighters was not going to let it slip out of there hands without a fight. Have a well earned break and I will give you back your elbows and clinch in the new year.

I think the whole of Germany captured you on tv throwing the union jack over Steve. Herrcutt can you let me know if you can tape the fights from the German and swiss tv. If you can email me and I will send you the money. Or even better let me know if they have dvds of the show. Tried asking but communication problems. Thanks again Mark

if the weights were sorted out would Steve Wakeling and Tyrone Spong be a possibility? i think spong fights at 78 and Steven Wakeling at 75. Spong doesnt fight elbows much and as this particular fight was k-1 type rules it must be good practice for Steven.
I would like to see an English fighter beat Spong.
