You've get me started Phil....lol Hatton Vs Tszyu was a good on the edge of your seat fight, not a great display of technique, but exciting none the less due to the fact we all hoped Hatton would do it - and well he did.

The Benn Vs Eubank fights were good to watch, just down to the pure hatred that had for each other.

Not seen much in the way of the older fights/ers like Foreman or that but the rise of Tyson was exciting, and I can always remember SRL re-runs on TV as a kid, not the fights as such but that infamous "bollow" punch. Would like to see more of SRL. You used to be bake to buy hige boxing collections from eBay but you never see them anymore :-( I got Tyson, Benn, Hearns, and Hatton Career sets all from there!!

leonard hears first fight at welter was probably the best display of boxing by two fighters ever seen both at there peak and both the best pound for pound at the time by a mile. The only thing to match it today would be if mayweather could fight himself

Its funny that although Tyson is my fave fighter of all time I couldnt select any of his bouts to be in my top list. They were either all quick KO`s or he went mental/got beaten. The enigma of Iron Mike.

taylor chavez was brutal both boxers werent the same after it taylor had a tere on his kidney and broken ribs and some idiots said it shouldnt of been stopped just cos they were a few seconds to go.the doctors said the internal injuries on taylor were similar to a car crash victim.chavez was hard even by mexican standards

He swallowed 2 pints of his own blood, watch the last bit Meldrick looks across the ring at Lou Duva instead of Richard steele,as Lou was on the ring shaking the ropes, too brave for his own good Philadelphian fighter, and they said he was losing in the last round,,but hindsights a great thing isn,t it mate x

did you agree with the ref stopping it then vinny cos there was a big comeback on the ref for that

No richard steele should not have called it off, then again fighters lives are important there was alot of stuff flying about as was the case with 1st Razor ruddock v Tyson stoppage,Steele big mates with Don king and Chavez as was Tyson managed by him,its a tricky one as there was 2 seconds to go and there was a flashing red light on each corner post indicating the last ten seconds?
The rematch was crap as taylor was a junk food addict as was Buster douglas who ate himself into lardsville, shame really but as for a stoppage that late on in such an important unification i really don,t know thanks x x

Plus it was Mickey Vann that stopped Pernell whittaker being 1st to beat Chavez as he deducted a point when he was judging, when the referee never deducted a point????? and also while am at it,the second Frankie Randall v Chavezwas stopped on a unserious cut....hmmmm Donald King again x

agree with the don king steele thing but i think he got the taylor one right but got it right maybe for the wrong reasons how about that for sitting on the fence.lot of debate about sweet pea i think he changed judging in america from judging on scoring shots to favouring telling shots alot of people didnt like his style.i personally thought he had skill by the bucketload

Just bought a DVD set of Ring Mags top fights. Starts away back in the late 50's I think. That Tayler Vs Chavez is on it with a host of other great fights. Also bought Pacquio Vs Morales Trilogy. Can't wait to watch them :-)
