Hi Seido,
Andy Hug showed true Bushido spirit and I too was a fan of this great Kyokushinkai man from the early days of K-1,he had a great variety of kicking skills not just one dimensional and he was always exciting to watch,he was a great loss to the world of K-1 kickboxing and Kyokushinkai Karate,
God Bless Andy Hug!

andy was one of my favourite K1 stars- i simply loved his variety - the techniques that "wont work in a real fight" he made work!

Truely a loss to the whole martial arts and fight community!

how cruel life can be - within 24hrs of diagnosis to death.......

the eternal question ..........WHY??

andi hugg OSU!

He proved his true fighting spirit by defying the odds to eventually win K1 inspite of being one of the smaller guys and not given much chance.

RIP

Took Matt Skelton to the K-1 for many years. Stayed in Andy Hugs house for 3 weeks and shared a drink and a meal with him more than once. He was a gentleman above all else and a quiet guy who did not have a bad word to say about anyone. We were shocked how suddenly he died, missed by all
